The ice cream truck visited residents and staff today at Southbrook! Thank you to Amy, medical records nurse and Dana, wound nurse for going above and beyond to bring smiles and sweet treats to us all! Truly a shining example of our Hometown Hospitality and RISING values. We appreciate you!

Southbrook invites the community, local businesses, and our residents’ families to join us for a Chili Cook-Off! Come enjoy delicious chili while our residents participate in fall games and activities.

Last week we had a friendly pie in the face event with staff to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Staff and visitors voted with penny votes for staff to receive a pie in the face. The 3 staff that raised the most for a pie in the face was:
1st place- Jodi Rawson, Business Office
2nd place- Trina Stull, Dietary Manager
3rd place- Christy Holt, D.O.N
We then auctioned off pies at the end where everyone In the competition ended up with a Pie in the Face. Fun and laughs were had by all. Thank you to all who participated and donated to this great cause!

We celebrated National Cheesecake day with a cheesecake competition. The residents voted. 1st place went to Karen Cox in Social Services, 2nd place was Heart & Soul Hospice, 3rd place was Ashley Lashley Administrator. We all had a great time tasting all the unique cheesecakes. Thank you to all who participated.

Elvis was in the building!The residents thoroughly enjoyed Elvis’s visit to Southbrook. So many smiles and good memories made! Thank you Zarek Knox as Elvis for entertaining our residents!

Southbrook is excited to host its Fall Festival, and we’d love for our community too be part of the fun! We are currently looking for vendors, crafters, local businesses, food trucks, and more to join our day. We hope to bring the community together for some fall fun!
