Yesterday we loaded up the bus and headed to Frankie's in Plainville for a fun afternoon filled with hotdogs, burgers, seafood, and of course... milkshakes! Already looking forward to the next trip!

In preparation for Memorial Day, our residents got creative in our Spring Craft Studio making patriotic door hangers! It was a fun and meaningful activity, and everyone loved getting creative while honoring the holiday.

Yesterday's program was one for the books - literally!

We had the pleasure of welcoming David Plaue, creator of the "Build Your Own History Book" experience, and our residents dove into a special edition focused on Women in History.

It was fun, interactive, and full of fascinating information that sparked great conversations and plenty of smiles. Our residents truly loved the opportunity to learn, reflect, and create something of their own.

We're already looking forward to David's next visit and can't wait to see what new history we'll explore together!

Today, on Armed Forces Day, we proudly honor all who served our country - and especially one incredible woman in our community.

At 103 years young, Dottie is a World War II veteran and a United States Marine - a true trailblazer who served with strength, courage and resilience during a pivotal time in history.

We are so proud to celebrate her, especially as she was recently featured by our local news alongside other remarkable women veterans. Her story is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made and the barriers broken by those who came before us.

Our Garden Party Social Series events, inspired by spring being in full swing, took us outside to enjoy fresh flowers, fruit and vegetable platter with chocolate fondue, and a Lemonade bar with Raspberry, Blackberry, and Strawberry flavors.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a vibrant fiesta and delicious Mexican cuisine. Festive music, good food, and great company made it a really fun afternoon!
