Pilatesdetroit is a pilates studio housed inside of an open gym. We offer private pilates instruction, pilates mat classes, physical therapy/rehab, gait analysis and functional training with a licensed physical therapist and Stott certified pilates instructor.

But here’s the thing…when you finally walk through our door, I promise you have found the right place. We are going to build your Pilates practice, mind and body from the ground up.

Have you ever heard the definition of insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?

Or maybe I’m just confused and the definition of longevity (like the type where you actually move well and feel good) is doing the same thing “PILATES” over and over again and getting different results (ie increase strength, mobility, balance, postures and coordination)

Let’s talk about 2016!
It was the year that Pilates Detroit came to be.
-
I was working as a clinical physical therapist in a traditional orthopedic setting when I finally got the guts to go out on my own. I remember having a conversation with my best friend and telling her “if only five people show up, I’ll be really happy!”
-
It’s 10 years later and so many amazing, talented, passionate, supportive and loving people have walked through our doors. Many of whom have never done Pilates before and trusted us to teach them this incredible method safely and with precision and patience.

I feel confident saying we have done that and plan to continue bringing Pilates into the lives of our community and beyond!
