In the ER, patients receive life-saving treatments but are often overwhelmed by unpredictable financial burden and frustrated by overcrowded waiting rooms. Congratulations to our August 2026 TAUC Hero, Sam Merrifield. Sam consistently goes above and beyond for his team and patients. Often the only tech at his site, he works hard and maintains a positive attitude, even when things get busy. He is always willing to step in and support others, whether assisting the provider, helping with scribing, or supporting the reception team.
