Thomas, our newest intern, and his mother, TG, joined us to share the beautiful culture and traditions of Ethiopia with our residents.

🇺🇸 The Labor Day fun didn’t stop with Bingo and our cookout! We ended an amazing day with a very special cultural experience. ❤️

Our newest intern, Thomas, and his mother, TG, who is from Ethiopia, joined us to share a little piece of Ethiopian culture with our residents. 🇪🇹

They introduced us to the tradition of Ethiopian coffee making, sharing the history and importance of coffee in Ethiopian culture, along with some fascinating history and fun facts. ☕ Residents had the opportunity to watch the coffee-making process, learn something new, ask questions, and experience another culture right here at Lake Meadows!

What a wonderful way to end a day filled with Bingo, great food, family, friends, culture, learning, and togetherness!

Chef Kristen fired up the grill and served up all the Labor Day favorites—juicy hamburgers, hot dogs, Polish sausage, corn on the cob, mac & cheese, potato salad, baked beans, and so much more! 🌭🍔🌽

Our Life Enrichment Team jumped behind the line alongside our amazing Culinary Team, helping serve up plates and assisting our residents by delivering their meals right to them. When it comes to making a celebration special, it takes a TEAM—and ours showed up! 💪❤️

A huge thank you to all of our residents, families, and staff who came out to celebrate with us. Great food, wonderful company, lots of laughter, and memories made together!

🧵✨ Learning Something New — Paracord Bracelets! ✨🧵

Today we tried our hand at making paracord bracelets, and let’s just say… they weren’t quite as easy as we thought! 😂 But we didn’t give up!

We switched things up and used a French braid technique, and the bracelets turned out absolutely beautiful! ❤️👏 Lots of concentration, patience, laughter, and helping one another along the way.

What a wonderful afternoon enjoying live entertainment with Bill Porter on the keyboard! Bill played familiar favorites that had our residents reminiscing, singing along, tapping their toes, and even showing off a few dance moves! ❤️🎵
