Millie just had cataract surgery with an extended depth of focus lens implant to give her the best functional vision. "The whole experience was wonderful," she said. "I can see so much better and it's easier to drive at night. I used to get headaches from blurry vision, but now they're gone - I'm doing excellent!" We love having Millie as our patient - her smile lights up every room!🥰🎉

Karen came to us needing cataract surgery, because she works as a courier and was having difficulty driving safely. She also is a very creative person who loves to do crafting and sewing. Because of these demands on her vision, she chose an extended depth of focus lens implant to correct both her distance and near vision. "Now I feel a lot safer driving," she said. "Everything is brighter and clearer. I don't have to wear glasses now - I wish I would've done this years ago!" We are so happy to celebrate with you Karen!🎉😍

We are honored to have a trailblazer in our practice! Rita was the first African American female electrician at GM. She is currently writing a book about her life and her 35 years at GM. She has so many amazing stories to tell! She recently had cataract surgery, and as an avid reader she said she loves reading without glasses. We were so inspired to hear her story and can't wait to grab a copy of her book when it's published. What a pleasure getting to know Rita!

Shawn, who works in the Business Office for Davison Schools, has many demands on her vision. With her glasses RX being a -13.00 and -11.00 she said, "I've been blind since 3rd grade." She would even sleep with her glasses on her chest because she was so anxious to be without them.

She recently had cataract surgery with the extended depth of focus lens implants, and said it's been "life-changing." Without the need for glasses or contacts, she's especially looking forward to water activities like waterslides and tubing with her grandkids. "Dr. Waters was super kind. He was confident and comforting, and the staff was amazing" she said. "The whole process including The Surgery Center was a well-oiled machine."

Today we celebrated George's final visit after cataract surgery.🎉 "I was too scared to have it done, so I made my wife do it first," he said😊. Both he and Vicki chose the extended depth of focus lens implants and can now enjoy life without glasses. They were pleasantly surprised at how easy the surgery was. "It was fast and easy, and it was really nice dealing with Michelle because she explained everything," they said. "We should've done this a long time ago." With their new vision they can better enjoy their grandsons' baseball games, watch TV, and see details when birdwatching. Congratulations to you both!😍

Today is Ann's 900th day of walking without missing a day! Help us celebrate this great accomplishment 🎉😍. She loves exploring different parks in the area, and since having cataract surgery she says she can now see animals and birds she's never noticed before. You are an inspiration to us all, Ann!!👏

Cataract surgery may be easier than you think. Angie, who just had the procedure, was surprised at how easy it was. "It was unexpected to get that kind of service," she said. "The process was very pleasant, structured and efficient. I felt I was valued and that my eyes were a priority." She said her dependence on glasses felt like a "prison" and now she's able to read, write and enjoy life without worrying about them.
