Your feet can tell you things about your circulation 🦶 One foot that runs colder than the other. Shiny skin or less hair on the lower legs. Toenails that grow slowly or thicken. A pale or bluish tint to the toes. Sores that are slow to heal. Any of these can be linked to peripheral artery disease (PAD) and are worth mentioning at your next appointment, or worth a call to us.

Losing a limb changes daily life, and the questions start long before a prosthesis is ever fitted. Whenever possible, our Mobility Center team meets with patients and their families before amputation surgery. We stay involved through healing and rehab, then move into custom prosthetic fitting and mobility training. One team for the whole road back 🤝

Who should contact us about a vascular screening? Adults 50 and older with any of these in their history: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, smoking, kidney disease, diabetes, or a family history of PAD. Vascular disease is often silent until something serious happens. Screening is how you find it earlier 🔎

An abdominal aortic aneurysm usually gives no warning 🚫 And most cause no symptoms until they rupture. Risk goes up for men, people over 50, smokers, those with high blood pressure, and anyone whose parent or sibling has had one. If you are part of a high risk group, a quick ultrasound could save you from an emergency situation.
