Back to school can mean back to big feelings. 🎒💛

For some children, a new school year can bring anxiety, overwhelm, changes in routine, friendship challenges, separation worries, or difficulty adjusting to new expectations.

If your child is having a hard time navigating the transition, they don’t have to figure it out alone. Brainspotting Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space where children can process their emotions, build healthy coping skills, and feel more confident heading into the school year.

📩 Reach out to Pacific Trauma Center to learn more about children’s Brainspotting therapy and how we can support your family.

Do you feel stuck on or stuck off? 🧠✈️❄️ If your nervous system is trapped in unrelenting patterns of fight, flight, freeze, fawn, or total collapse- Brainspotting could be the key to your healing. 🔑

Brainspotting works by bypassing your thinking brain through your visual field to unlock deep, survival based areas of the brain where trauma is trapped.

If you feel like Brainspotting therapy is the right fit for you, call us at 916-608-4569 or go to pacifictraumacenter.com

Men FEEL a lot. But in so many cases, they were never taught the language to express it. That’s where Brainspotting comes in to play. 🧠 You don’t need to have the words to work through the trauma.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please call us at 916-608-4569. Ask for Todd Carr or Chris Stone, two of our incredible therapists who specialize in working with men. 💙

It’s not you, it’s your attachment issues. ❤️‍🩹 Brainspotting goes beyond just talking about it by helping you access where attachment wounds actually live in your brain and body.

And our LMFT, Mary Jean Walton, is excellent at understanding these patterns and helping you out of them.

We could really talk all day about Brainspotting Therapy, but it goes beyond words to access what’s stored deep in your body & brain through eye positions. 👀

If you want to see what the hype is about, call our center at 916-608-4569 and we’d love to tell you more! ❤️

Did you know EMDR and Brainspotting might look similar… but they actually work in very different ways?

EMDR uses structured sets and bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to help the brain reprocess memories.

Brainspotting is more fluid and body-based, using eye position to access where trauma is stored and letting the brain lead the healing process.

Same goal: processing trauma
Different paths: structure vs. deep attunement

If you’ve ever felt like talk therapy only goes so far, this is where things can shift.

In Season 2, Episode 2 of “The Spotcast” - we discuss an often overlooked group of individuals who carry some of society’s most powerful and life altering traumatic experiences: 🚑🚨🩺

Listen as we breakdown why Brainspotting therapy can be such an incredible tool for first responders to cope with their reality and move forward from calls/moments they continue to hold onto.

If you or someone you love could benefit from this type of care, Pacific Counseling and Trauma therapist Todd Carr, a former first responder, specializes in supporting this population and understands firsthand what they carry. ❤️ Please call us at 916-608-4569 if you are interested in working with Todd.
