This Mother’s Day, Coastal Primary Care honors the strength, love, and resilience of mothers everywhere. šŸ’

Women often spend so much time caring for others that their own health gets placed on the back burner. But regular check-ups and preventive care are essential at every stage of life — from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to long-term wellness and healthy aging.

šŸ’• A reminder for all women this Mother’s Day:
āœ” Schedule your annual wellness exam
āœ” Monitor blood pressure and heart health
āœ” Stay up to date on breast and cervical cancer screenings
āœ” Prioritize prenatal and postpartum care
āœ” Address hormonal, emotional, and mental health concerns
āœ” Don’t ignore fatigue, stress, or persistent symptoms

Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring major physical and emotional changes. Continued medical care after childbirth is just as important as prenatal care, helping mothers recover, heal, and maintain their overall well-being.

At Coastal Primary Care, we are committed to compassionate, personalized healthcare for women at every stage of life.

This Mother’s Day, remember: taking care of yourself is also taking care of your family. 🌷

A bat was hiding inside a shoe, resulting in a bite to a resident. The bat was captured and confirmed to be rabid. Rabies is a fatal virus if left untreated. Prompt medical attention (vaccines/immunoglobulin) is critical if exposed. A rabies alert was previously issued in St. Lucie County regarding a bat incident at Touchstar Cinemas in Fort Pierce. Inspect shoes, boots, and patio items left outside for wildlife before use. Keep pets up to date on rabies vaccinations and ensure they are supervised or kept in secure areas. If a bat is found (alive or dead), do not touch it. Contact your local animal control immediately.

Rabies has been confirmed in the Arden community of Loxahatchee after a bat hiding inside a shoe bit a resident.Animal Care and Control says the incident happen

Wishing you a healthy and happy St. Patrick’s Day! šŸ€šŸ„¦šŸ„”šŸ„•šŸ„—Today is a great reminder that good health can start right on your plate. Celebrate with plenty of fresh greens and vegetables—think leafy salads, steamed broccoli, and of course, classic cabbage!

Cabbage has long been a staple in traditional St. Patrick’s Day meals, and for good reason. It’s affordable, versatile, and packed with nutrients. Rich in vitamins C and K, fiber, and antioxidants, cabbage supports your immune system, aids digestion, and helps reduce inflammation. It’s a simple, wholesome way to nourish your body while honoring tradition.

Whether you’re enjoying a festive meal or just adding more greens to your day, your body will thank you!
