This week, we had the honor of welcoming an incredible church group to the Spirit Lake Reservation & we cannot express how grateful we are for the time, love, & hard work they poured into both Spirit Lake Recovery & Wellness & the Woodlake District community. Their dedication transformed our residential program by taming our overgrown garden & creating an absolutely beautiful patio space. It turned out amazing, & we know our residential clients will enjoy having a peaceful outdoor area to gather, visit, & spend time together for years to come.
Beyond their hard work, they took the time to meet our staff & clients, both inpatient and outpatient, sharing kind words, encouragement, j prayers throughout the week. Their compassion, faith, & words of wisdom touched so many hearts, & we truly loved having them with us.
A special thank you to our residential men & Grant Cavanaugh for preparing a delicious lunch for our guests. We were happy they had the opportunity to try an Indian Taco before heading home!
We wrapped up their visit with a group photo, a circle of prayer, & heartfelt goodbyes. Before leaving, they shared thoughtful cards of gratitude to some of our staff & clients & gave a few some beautiful handmade bracelets from Africa, representing the international ministry some of them are a part of & the many communities they serve around the world.
Thank you for choosing to spend your time with us & for blessing our program & community in so many meaningful ways. We are so glad you were able to experience the beauty, culture, & hospitality of the Spirit Lake Tribe.
Until next time—safe travels, and may God continue to bless your ministry. ❤️
