Showing up for jury duty is not the issue. That’s called deflection, mostly as a way to blame the victim. The larger issue is the legal tactic of peremptory challenge, which allows an attorney to dismiss a potential juror without stating a reason. They say it’s not based on race, but we weren’t born yesterday.

“In the ante-bellum South, jury service was legally restricted to white men, as only citizens could sit on juries and enslaved or free Black people were denied citizenship. This systemic exclusion meant that the legal system operated entirely under the control of the white majority. It protected the institution of slavery, upheld a rigid racial hierarchy, and regularly denied justice to Black individuals.”

“All-white juries in America reflect a long history of excluding Black Americans and other minorities from the judicial process to maintain white supremacy. For nearly a century after the founding, jury duty was legally restricted to white men. Though the 14th Amendment and civil rights acts eventually granted legal equality, systemic exclusion persisted for over a century through discriminatory jury selection practices, poll taxes, and literacy tests.”

In Latin and Italian, “maga” means sorceress or witch. In Nigerian Pidgin, “maga” is a gullible fool who gets conned.

Either way, MAGA fits.

It’s a demonic movement centered around a racist, ra**st, pe*****le, pathological liar, convicted felon, sociopath, and demagogue. It’s built on grievance, fear, lies, conspiracy theories, racial resentment, and political idolatry. It’s led by cynical opportunists who know better and followed by millions who keep falling for the same scams, the same false promises, and the same manufactured outrage.

It’s a movement of manipulators and the manipulated, grifters and the grifted.

MAGA isn’t a political philosophy. It’s a satanic cult sustained by deception and fueled by ignorance.
