What an amazing day we had at our car show hosted by Old Coots on Scoots! Fortuna gave us the most beautiful weather, and our courtyard was packed with incredible classic cars, motorcycles, live entertainment, good food, and even better company. Seeing our residents out enjoying the sunshine, checking out the hot rods, and swapping stories with the riders is exactly what community here is all about.

A huge thank you to Old Coots on Scoots and everyone who came out to make this such a special day. This is just a small taste of the life and energy we bring to Sequoia Springs Assisted Living & Memory Care every day. We wanted to take a moment to show appreciation for the wonderful mothers who live and work with us. Our culinary team put together a beautiful Mother’s Day display, and the community was filled with joy and celebration.

April is here, and with spring in full bloom, we took the celebration outdoors—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Residents were joined by family, staff and friends for a beautiful day filled with delicious food, laughter, and a fun (and a little challenging!) Easter egg scavenger hunt.

Moments like these are what make our community so special—bringing people together, creating joy, and truly feeling like home. 🌷🐣

March has been full of joy, music, and meaningful moments here at Sequoia! 🍀✨

We kicked off the month with a special bagpipe performance by Brian Schwartzberg from the North Coast Bagpipers and have been celebrating ever since. From socials, baking, bingo, and art to outings, therapy dog visits, and more—we’ve truly done it all!

Our St. Patrick’s Day Ice Cream Sundae Bar was a sweet highlight, and the music this month brought great energy and connection, including performances by Ukes of Hazzard and a piano recital with Ruth McClimons’ students. 🎹

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing performers—Mike McClimons, David Dement, The Harmonious Group, Ukes of Hazzard, Mike Gibbs, Anna Hamilton, Deb Woods, and Ruth McClimons’ students—as well as our wonderful volunteers who lead Exercise and Bingo. 💚

We’re so grateful for everyone who brings joy, connection, and life into our community. 🎶
