It is with great sadness, yet with hearts full of love and gratitude for a wonderful life of service, that we announce the passing of Joseph L. Wroblewski, Past International President of Lions Clubs International, devoted husband, father, grandfather, funeral director, veteran, humanitarian, and community leader. Joe peacefully departed this life at his home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by his children, at the wonderful age of 96.
As a funeral director, Joe served generations of families with dignity, compassion, and professionalism for more than six decades. During life's most difficult moments, Joe, along with his wife, Normajean became trusted sources of comfort, guidance, and reassurance for countless families throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. As a proud Lion, he devoted more than 70 years to Lions Clubs International and through decades of leadership and service, he rose through the organizations ranks, serving as District Governor, International Director, and ultimately as International President of Lions Clubs International during 1985-1986.
Joe, we love you, we thank you, we pray for you as we know you pray for us, and we know God has blessed you for all the good works you accomplished throughout your life. May Choirs of Angels sing you to your well-deserved rest…you will never be forgotten… “We Serve Better Together.”
