Located in beautiful Frankfort on the shores of Lake Michigan, the 80-bed facility provides long-term care, skilled nursing care, and rehabilitative therapy services, along with a

n outstanding activities department. Registered nurses and certified nursing assistants are on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week providing our residents with the highest quality of care. Our team includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, and their assistants who work together with nursing, dietary, social services, and activities to assist patients in reaching and maintaining their maximum potential. Residents are offered a wide range of events, including off-site and on-site activities and a home atmosphere. You are invited to visit and tour The Maples and get to know our staff.

Our next Summer Community Education Series will be held on June 11, 2026. Join us to learn more about proper lifting techniques and how to prevent lifting emergencies. Frankfort Fire Chief Mike Cederholm and Maples Physical Therapist Mike Chisholm will lead the session.

All sessions are free and open to the community.

It’s annual Skills Fair time at The Maples! Approximately 100 CNAs and nurses participated in the four-day training that included nine, 15-minute stations. Training included the "Room of Errors," Proper Handling of Equipment, Fire Emergency, Care Plans/Kardex Best Practices, Whirlpool Tub Operation and Safety, Mechanical Lift Operation, Dining Assistance, and Hoyer/Chair Weights.

In addition, our entire Maples staff participated in the Fire Emergency station, where they received training using a water extinguisher to put out a controlled burn.

A big "Thank You" to Maples Staff Development Educator Kim Anderson, Frankfort Fire Chief Mike Cederholm and our incredible station leaders for providing this vital educational opportunity for our staff.
