Last night, one of our patients experienced something many people take for granted: hearing the tornado sirens.

I fit this patient with new hearing aids and she called our office today to share that she heard the tornado sirens for the first time in a long time! She was so excited to share this news with us, and we were so happy to hear it!!

Moments like this are a reminder that better hearing isn’t just about conversations. It’s about safety, awareness, independence, and staying connected to the world around you.

These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.

Two days of learning, networking, and bringing home new ideas from the Indiana Audiology Coalition Annual Conference!

I was also lucky enough to win an Auracast transmitter, courtesy of Dr. Susan Taulia at Lafayette Hearing Center!! I can’t wait to get it set up in the office to educate and demonstrate what Auracast is all about.

Auracast has the potential to bridge the gap between hearing technology and the community. I’m eager to work with places of worship, businesses and organizations throughout our community to expand access to this technology and help create more hearing-friendly spaces for everyone.
