Voting is important.

We’re lucky to have that right in our country, and it was so special to share that experience with my daughter today.

Talk about a homeschool moment! While we were there, we talked about how bonds work, including interest rates and repayment terms.
It was a great reminder that learning doesn’t just happen at a desk or from a textbook.

**Why My ADHD Day Never Looks the Same Twice**

# # # The Daily Pattern Nobody Talks About

For the longest time, I thought I was simply inconsistent. Some mornings felt like I was walking through fog, struggling to remember what I needed to do next. Then, without warning, a few hours later, I could dive so deeply into a project that the world around me seemed to disappear.

That sudden shift always confused me because it made me question myself. If I could focus so well at one point in the day, why did simple tasks feel impossible at another?

# # # Understanding the ADHD Rhythm

What I eventually learned is that ADHD isn't always a constant experience. Energy, focus, motivation, and mental clarity can change throughout the day. A productive afternoon can be followed by an evening filled with unfinished thoughts, and a tired night can lead to a mind that suddenly refuses to slow down when it's time to sleep.

Because of this, many people with ADHD spend years feeling frustrated by patterns they don't fully understand.

# # # Working With Your Brain, Not Against It

The breakthrough comes when you stop expecting yourself to perform the same way every hour of every day. Instead of fighting your natural rhythm, you start noticing when your focus is strongest and when you need more support.

That awareness doesn't solve everything, but it replaces self-criticism with understanding. And sometimes, that small shift changes everything.

Kindness becomes powerful when it is paired with boundaries, self-respect, and courage. You do not have to become cold to protect your peace.

You can be compassionate without tolerating disrespect, loving without losing yourself, and patient without accepting manipulation. That is not weakness. That is emotional maturity.

Wake up

Modern grocery stores offer convenience, but they also carry many foods built for shelf life, flavor hits, and repeat buying. Boxes, bars, drinks, and snacks can crowd out the simple foods that have fed people for generations.

Health does not require a perfect cart. Aim to fill more of it with foods close to their natural form. Choose fruit, vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts, seeds, eggs, fish, or quality protein that fits your life. Let packaged foods play a smaller role when possible.

Your daily choices shape how you feel. A better cart can lead to better meals, steadier energy, and a calmer mind. Start in the produce aisle and build from there. 🛒🌿

As you heal, you become more self-aware. You realize that certain beliefs you had are not actually true. You realize that behaviours that may have served you at some point are maladaptive now. You realize that there is a thing called ego that comes in the way of vulnerability and connection. What else would you add here?
