Thank you Fredericksburg!
I believe that much of human suffering arises not only from trauma, but from losing touch with who we are beneath, adaptation, expectation, fear, and survival.
Some people lose themselves through trauma.
Others through years of pleasing, performing, achieving, caregiving, or becoming who they believed they needed to be to belong.
Therapy is not simply the reduction of symptoms.
It is the process of developing, discovering, reclaiming and strengthening, an authentic relationship with self to continue exploring throughout your life.
As people become more deeply connected to themselves, they often begin to make different choices – not because they have been told what to do, but because those choices emerge naturally from a connection to their core self through greater self-awareness, self trust, and self congruence.
Healing is not about becoming someone new.
It is about becoming increasingly aligned with who we truly are.
I remain so grateful I get to do this work in this community.
