Valley Center for the Blind Board Member, Debbie, recently attended a week-long Orientation and Mobility Training program Leader Dogs for the Blind in Michigan.
During the training, she learned white cane techniques and mobility skills, and even had the opportunity to work with a guide dog for a few hours.
Debbie described the experience as "the most amazing experience ever!" and highly recommends the program to anyone interested in orientation and mobility training.
We're proud of Debbie's dedication to learning new skills and promoting independence for herself and people who are blind or have low vision.
