Summer is winding down... but the stress may be just beginning.

As July comes to a close and August begins, many people notice a shift.

Parents are preparing for back-to-school routines.

Children and teens may be feeling anxious about new teachers, friendships, or transitions.

College students are preparing to leave home or begin a new chapter.
Educators are gearing up for another school year.

Families are juggling schedules, sports, childcare, and rising expectations.

Others may simply be wondering where the summer went and feeling overwhelmed by everything that's ahead.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.

The transition into a new season can bring increased stress, anxiety, irritability, difficulty sleeping, relationship strain, or a return of symptoms you thought had improved.

You don't have to wait until you're in crisis to seek support.

Now accepting referrals at our offices in all locations. We accept many Medicaid and commercial insurance plans, with in-person and telehealth appointments available throughout Virginia.

One of the things we value most at Body and Mindfully Healthy is supporting a strong community of mental health professionals who are expanding access to healing.

We're excited to see that Season Childress, LPC has launched new Pathways programs, creating additional opportunities for clinicians and individuals interested in trauma-informed healing, nervous system regulation, and professional growth.

Season's work emphasizes whole-person healing through approaches such as EMDR, neurofeedback, and body-based therapies, while also fostering collaboration among helping professionals.

As mental health professionals, we believe our communities are stronger when we learn from one another, share resources, and celebrate the meaningful work being done across Southwest Virginia.

If you're looking for educational opportunities or want to learn more about Season's newest offerings, you can explore the Pathways programs here:
