What an amazing weekend 🙏🏼
Thank you for joining me for the Yothera Method For Brainspotting specialty workshop over the weekend.
I want to share something that kept coming up from participants during the workshop, and I want to share it because I think it says something important about what most of us are missing in our sessions.
The movement piece.
Not movement as exercise or yoga, but movement as part of the processing itself. The invitation to follow what the body actually wants to do when something is shifting through it rather than holding it still and contained while the mind does the work.
Most of us were trained in a model where the body is managed during a session. We keep the clinical frame steady. We invite clients to sit, to focus, to process. We rarely give them permission to move, to shift, to shake, to release the way the nervous system actually wants to when something is moving through it.
What the Yothera Method does differently is treat movement not as a disruption but as part of the medicine. And the practitioners who were in that room on Saturday felt that in their own bodies first, because that is always how it has to work.
If something in this is something you’ve been looking for or resonates with you and you missed the workshop, the next one is coming.
