Avoid Route nine south of Winston Lane and North of South Mountain pass. There is a three vehicle accident involving waste carting truck.

Use caution the traffic light is now functioning at Route nine at snake Hill Travis’s corner intersection.

@0635 Garrison Ambulance was dispatched to route nine between Travis corners Road snake Hill road for an MVA. Garrison 3272 arrived determined that there was two patients. Both patients were transported to local hospital for evaluation. GVAC was assisted at scene by The Garrison volunteer fire department. Putnam medic one Phillipstown volunteer Ambulance and the Putnam County sheriffs department.

On December 20, 2025 at approximately 0829. Garrison volunteer Ambulance, Garrison volunteer fire company, Putnam County sheriff and Putnam medic one were dispatched to a two car motor vehicle accident in the area of Route nine and deer Ridge Road. Upon arrival the two drivers had self extricated from the vehicles. One patient was transported to an area trauma center for evaluation. The other RMA. Garrison Ambulance 3272 is back in service at 1107.

We need to urge the federal government to be more active in making sure EMS are supported.

With EMS calls in Dutchess County topping 21,500 in the first half of 2025, Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino is calling on Washington to take action to address the challenges facing EMS nationally. This week, County Executive Serino sent formal letters to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, and New York’s Congressional Delegation urging renewed federal investment in EMS, citing call volumes and mounting strain on local emergency services.
