The Gig Harbor Eagles are all about giving back to our local community, and we are SO honored that they chose Cancer Concierge to receive the proceeds from their raffles at this year’s Oktoberfest!

Come hang out with us, enjoy the food, games, contests and entertainment, and help us raise money to continue supporting cancer patients and their families right here in our community.

This is something we encourage our clients AND their loved ones to think about. 

Getting your affairs in order, including your will, trust, finances, and other important documents, can be easy to put off. But you never know what life may bring, and being proactive now can save you and your family so much stress later.

I recently took the time to get my own will and trust in order for my family, and it was an important reminder that this isn’t something we should only think about when there’s a diagnosis or a problem.

Let’s get to the root of it, literally. 

A healthy scalp creates the best foundation for healthy hair, especially during hair loss and regrowth after cancer treatment.

One thing we’re learning more about? Washing your scalp more frequently is now recommended rather than trying to go as long as possible between washes. Keeping the scalp clean and cared for can help create a healthier environment for new growth.

When the time comes, shaving the hair and using gentle, nourishing scalp products can help keep the scalp clean, comfortable, and healthy, creating a strong foundation for new growth.

Hair after chemo can be full of surprises.

It may come back curlier, straighter, thinner, thicker, or even a completely different color or texture than before. It can take months, and sometimes years, for your hair to settle into its new normal.

Be patient with it. And more importantly, be patient with yourself.🤍

This season isn't about getting back to who you were. It's about learning to care for the person you've become. With the right products, a gentle approach, and a little time, your hair will continue to grow and evolve right alongside you.
