After a car accident, symptoms such as neck stiffness, back pain, or headaches may not be obvious right away.
One of the most common recommendations people hear is, “Wait two weeks and see how you feel.” But an arbitrary waiting period can delay an appropriate evaluation and early clinical documentation.
An early evaluation does not automatically mean X-rays or a long treatment plan. It can help screen for warning signs, establish a clinical baseline, and determine whether conservative care or medical referral is appropriate.
Dr. Brennan Bates and Dr. Will Curtis created a comprehensive guide covering delayed symptoms, whiplash, headaches, neck and back pain, emergency warning signs, evaluation, and documentation.
