Truthful Tuesday 💙

Gallbladder attacks often happen after eating fatty or greasy foods.

If you've experienced pain in the upper right side of your abdomen, especially after meals, your gallbladder could be the culprit. Other symptoms may include nausea, bloating, indigestion, or pain that radiates to your back or shoulder.

The good news? Relief may be closer than you think.

If you're experiencing symptoms, schedule a consultation with High Plains Surgical to discuss your treatment options.

Truthful Tuesday 🤍

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, yet many people delay screening because they feel fine.

The truth? Colon cancer often develops without symptoms in its early stages.

Screening can detect and remove precancerous polyps before they become cancer.

If you're 45 or older, it may be time to talk with your provider about a screening colonoscopy.

Last weekend, we had the honor of celebrating Dr. Hartsaw’s retirement from the United States Navy Reserve after 13 years of service, where she achieved the rank of Captain.

Alongside leading a successful surgical practice, raising 5 children, becoming a grandmother, and caring for patients in our community, Dr. Hartsaw also dedicated over a decade to serving our country, including a deployment to Afghanistan. She also served on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City at the Javits Center field hospital, which became one of the largest hospitals in the city during the pandemic.

We are incredibly proud of her service, leadership, and commitment both in and out of uniform. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Hartsaw on this remarkable military accomplishment and thanking her for 13 years of service. 🇺🇸

(and to clarify, she is NOT retiring from medicine or from High Plains Surgical)

Today we’re celebrating the moms of High Plains Surgical.

The women who care for patients, support families, keep everything running, and still somehow make it home to care for their own families, too.

Thank you for all that you do both inside and outside the office. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms in our community.
