✨ 10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me✨
1. I interned at the Maury Show in New York City. Yes, THAT Maury. No, I was not responsible for any paternity test results. 😅 I had a great time hailing cabs, bringing fruit for Jack Hanna’s animals, etc.
2. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in education and schools, helping kids navigate some of life’s hardest moments.
3. My ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) score is a 9 out of 10. Healing isn’t just something I teach—it’s something I’ve had to live.
4. I lost my mom to cancer when she was only 48 years old. She died of Colon Cancer and I get myself checked every 3 - 5 years.
5. My dad is currently battling pancreatic cancer is not expected to live for very much longer. Walking through anticipatory grief has changed the way I see life, faith, and what truly matters.
6. I am a business owner, but I still Google things like “How long can Homemade bread stay in the fridge?” at least once a month.
7. I believe healing can happen through conversation, creativity, movement, faith, laughter, tears, and sometimes sitting in complete silence.
8. I am far more interested in authentic conversations than small talk. Tell me what keeps you up at night, what you’re afraid of, or what you’re dreaming about. These are how I find my true friends. Are you struggling? Me too. “Oh, you don’t have any struggles? We are not friends”. I AM A HUMAN 💛
9. Some of my favorite moments aren’t the big milestones. They’re sunsets, coffee on the porch, gardening, dancing in my kitchen, and hearing my kids laugh from another room.
10. At 41, I’m learning that life isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who God created me to be before life convinced myself otherwise.
Now your turn—tell me one thing about yourself that most people don’t know. 👇
