T.J. Health Columbia Expands Services with New Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program
T.J. Health Columbia is proud to announce the addition of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation as a new service offering, further enhancing its commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare close to home.
The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program is designed to support patients recovering from heart and lung conditions, including heart attack, heart surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other cardiovascular or pulmonary diagnoses. This medically supervised program combines exercise training, education, and personalized care plans to help patients improve their overall health and quality of life.
“Our goal is to help patients regain strength, confidence, and independence after a serious cardiac or pulmonary event,” said Anthony Keith, RRT, Respiratory Supervisor. “By offering this service locally, we’re removing barriers to care and making it easier for our community to access the rehabilitation they need.”
The program at T.J. Health Columbia features:
• Individualized exercise programs tailored to each patient’s condition and goals
• Monitoring by trained healthcare professionals
• Education on heart-healthy living, breathing techniques, and disease management
• Support to reduce risk factors and prevent future complications
Patients enrolled in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation often experience improved endurance, reduced symptoms, and a better understanding of how to manage their condition long-term.
This addition reflects T.J. Health Columbia’s ongoing commitment to expanding services and meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the community.
