Your health and the well-being of those in your care are our top priority. If you must go outdoors, please limit the time spent outside and follow any local air quality recommendations.

☀️ Stay Safe in the Heat!☀️

As temperatures rise, it's important to recognize the signs of heat stress—especially for older adults and individuals with chronic health conditions.

🌡️ Watch for these warning signs:
💧 Excessive sweating or dehydration
😓 Dizziness or weakness
🤕 Headache
🤢 Nausea
❤️ Rapid heartbeat
😵 Confusion or unusual fatigue

✅ Tips to prevent heat stress:
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
• Stay indoors during the hottest hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) when possible.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Use fans or air conditioning to stay cool.
• Eat light, nutritious meals.
• Check on family members, neighbors, and loved ones regularly.

At Care in the Home, our caregivers help clients stay safe and comfortable during hot weather by encouraging hydration, monitoring for signs of heat-related illness, and providing compassionate support at home.
