🌭🍟🍨 What a wonderful day at Amazing Grace!

Care in the Home was proud to attend as a community partner, serving up hot dogs, chips, and dessert while spending time with residents and neighbors. Events like these are a great opportunity to connect, share a meal, and strengthen our community relationships.

We were also excited to welcome Alderman Anthony Napolitano, who provided lunch to talk about the neighborhood, listen to residents’ concerns, and answer questions about the community.

Thank you to Amazing Grace for having us and to everyone who stopped by to enjoy the food and conversation. We look forward to many more opportunities to serve and support our community together! ❤️

This Memorial weekend, we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten. We are deeply grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of the heroes who served and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

At Care in the Home, we believe in compassion, dignity, and caring for those in our community — values that reflect the strength and selflessness shown by our nation’s service members every day.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, let us also pause to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
From all of us at Care in the Home, we wish you a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

Happy Nurses Week to the incredible team at Care in the Home 💙

This week, we proudly celebrate the compassion, skill, and dedication our nurses bring into every home, every visit, every single day. You do more than provide medical care—you create comfort, build trust, and bring dignity and peace of mind to the families who rely on you.

Your ability to meet patients where they are, both physically and emotionally, is what makes home care so powerful. Whether you’re managing complex care, offering a reassuring presence, or simply taking the time to listen, your impact goes far beyond what can be measured.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment, your kindness, and the difference you make in so many lives. We are truly grateful to have such an exceptional team.

Happy Nurses Week—we appreciate you today and every day 🩺✨

Early Signs of Parkinson’s to Watch for at Home 🧠💙

Caring for a loved one means noticing the little changes that others might miss. Early signs of Parkinson’s disease can be subtle—but recognizing them early can make a big difference.

Here are some common early warning signs:

• Slight tremor in the hand or fingers
• Smaller, cramped handwriting
• Slower movement or difficulty with daily tasks
• Muscle stiffness or reduced arm swing
• Softer or monotone voice
• Loss of smell
• Sleep disturbances (acting out dreams)
• Constipation
• Changes in posture or balance
• Reduced facial expression
These symptoms may appear gradually and often start on one side of the body.

✨ What to do:

If you notice a combination of these signs that persist over time, consider speaking with a healthcare professional. Early support and care can improve the quality of life.

🤝 You’re not alone in this journey—awareness is the first step to better care.

🧠 Parkinson’s Disease Facts 💙

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects movement, balance, and coordination.
It occurs when nerve cells in the brain produce less dopamine—a chemical that plays a key role in controlling movement.

At Care in the Home, we understand how these changes can impact everyday life. That’s why we’re committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that supports independence, dignity, and comfort at home.

Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to better care.
