A few highlights residents and families can look forward to:

🎉 September 13-19 - National Assisted Living Week spirit days, including Jersey Day, Twin Day, Vacation Day, Color Wars, Dress to Impress, and Tie Dye Day
🌎 September 15-October 15 - Activities recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month
🏈 September 20 and 27 - Broncos watch parties in the Cody Room
💜 Golden Pond's Alzheimer's fundraiser was at $2,000 of its $2,500 goal when the newsletter went to press

Families can also explore the separate Meadows Memory Care calendar for music, outings, crafts, fitness, and social activities throughout September.

✨ Dress to Impress and staff awards
🌈 Tie Dye Day in the Meadows calendar

For families, these spirit days are a cheerful way to share conversation, photos, and memories with loved ones throughout the week.

Golden Pond is close to an important finish line. 💜

When the September newsletter went to press, our community had raised $2,000 toward a $2,500 Alzheimer's fundraiser goal - leaving $500 to go.

Residents, families, staff, and neighbors have helped by donating, sharing the campaign, and supporting the purple table in the lobby. The newsletter states that every purchase from that table supports the fundraiser.

Fundraising totals can change quickly, so please contact the Golden Pond team for the latest update and current ways to participate.

🌴 August 21 — Our annual Luau Happy Hour with live hula dancing, Hawaiian-inspired food, music, tropical attire, and a Best Dressed Resident Contest
🤝 August 5 — A Meet & Greet for our new National Charity League partnership, bringing mothers and daughters into the community for games, crafts, visits, and special events
🧠 August 7 & 14 — Trivia Social in the Bistro
🛍️ Wednesday outings to Whole Foods, Hobby Lobby, Target, and Heini's Market
🎺 August 20 — Active Minds explores the life and music of Louis Armstrong
🎤 August 31 — A community Poetry Slam where residents and team members can share a favorite poem, quote, book passage, or original writing
