Summer is almost here, and June is full of sunshine, connection, and exciting new experiences at Golden Pond!

✨ This Month’s Highlights:

🚶 New Walking Club
A fun way for residents to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with friends.

🥽 Mynd Immersive Virtual Reality
Residents can explore beaches, forests, famous landmarks, calming nature scenes, interactive games, puppies, fishing, butterfly catching, and even skydiving — all from the comfort of our community.

🏔️ Colorado Scenic Drives
We’re heading out to enjoy beautiful mountain views, including Idaho Springs, Nederland, and the Mount Blue Sky area.

🍽️ Monday Lunch Outings
Residents will enjoy local favorites including Genesee Pub & Grill, The Flats Lounge, Black-eyed Pea, and Olive Garden.

🎓 Celebrating Our Graduates
Congratulations to Leidy, Clara, Larissa, Kamila, Liam, and Daniel. Your Golden Pond family is proud of you!

👏 Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Jocelyn Swan for her dedication, compassion, and teamwork.

🎤 Staff Talent Show — June 30
Our staff will take the stage, and residents will be the judges! We can’t wait for an afternoon of laughter, surprises, and community spirit.

Join us for backyard games, root beer floats, live music from Ellis Marcel, and time together celebrating fathers, grandfathers, and father figures.

May is also a meaningful time for us to celebrate National Nurses Week and recognize the incredible caregivers who make our community feel like home.

We are especially proud to honor Sarah Stevenson, our Director of Wellness, whose compassion, leadership, and dedication shine throughout Golden Pond every day. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, Sarah brings warmth, advocacy, and heartfelt care to residents, families, and staff alike. 💙

From festive gatherings and shared meals to meaningful relationships and compassionate care, May reminds us what community is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our 4th Annual Meadows Prom so incredibly special. From the team who worked behind the scenes to bring every detail together, to those who donated time, energy, and love—you made the magic happen.

To our amazing residents, families, and staff—your smiles, laughter, and dance moves lit up the entire evening. This event is a true reflection of the joy and community we share, and it wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you.

Tess shared her inspiring journey, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her experiences competing at the Olympic Games, along with stories, photos, and insights that truly captivated everyone in the room.

It was such a special opportunity for our residents and team to hear firsthand about the dedication, resilience, and passion it takes to perform at the highest level. We are so grateful she took the time to spend with our community! What an unforgettable afternoon!

🏀 Senior Slam Dunk Showdown – March Madness!
Residents will compete in our own bracket-style soft basketball tournament to crown the Golden Pond MVP Champion. Expect game-day music, cheering, and maybe even a resident vs. staff showdown!

💪 Wellness Spotlight
Certified Health Coach Erin Brock joins us on March 31 at 10:00 AM (Cody Room) to share simple, practical strategies for strength, balance, and healthy aging.
