Zoe Midwifery An independent midwifery practice providing comprehensive care in Goshen, Indiana. She has been a preceptor to student nurse midwives since 2015.

Betsy McCanse, CNM, has been in the “birth world” since 2003. She started her journey as a childbirth educator teaching Bradley classes, became certified as a doula through DONA, Int in 2005, and then started her trek to become a Certified Nurse Midwife through the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been practicing as a midwife in the Goshen area since 2013, providing full-scope midwifery care for women across their reproductive lifespans. Over the years she has served women at Goshen Birth Center, Goshen Hospital, Blessed Beginnings Care Center and at homes. She has guided over 600 babies and has provided labor support to those families and many others whose babies have been caught by students or ended up with cesareans. Additionally, Betsy has taken a course in Mayan Abdominal Massage Self-Care, and has certifications in K-taping for pregnancy/postpartum and clinical homeopathy. She is passionate about holding the space for women, to enable birth to be an empowering experience, and in taking part in shared decision making in healthcare throughout women’s lives. She finds year-round joy in blues and swing dancing, and tent camping in the warm months.

P & V of Bristol are pleased to add V to their family. V was born in July and weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce. Mom stayed determined, even when it was so different from other births. In the end it was a lovely homebirth with extra unexpected support which was so wonderful to have. Congratulations on the newest member of the family!

Hanna Bontrager and Brody Rosenberg of Edwardsburg are pleased to announce the birth of Ingrid Wren Rosenberg. She was born on July 9, 2026 at home at 7:54 am. Ingrid weighed 9 pounds, 10 ounces and was 22.5 inches long. Big sister Luna Bontrager is excited to have a sister. Hanna was game for all the positions we used to promote progress and learned the power of the side lying release to make change. It was a pleasure to be part of caring for this family. Amy (Hochstetler) and Andrew Slabaugh of Nappanee are happy to announce the birth of son Jonah Charles Slabaugh. Jonah was born at DuPont Hospital on August 13, 2026 at 12:39pm. Iva (Sommers) and Nathan Gingerich of Bourbon are pleased to announce the birth of Gabriel James Gingerich. Gabriel was born on July 1, 2026 at Blessed Beginnings Care Center. He was born at 2:53 am, and weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long. His brother Titus is excited to have a brother. Iva was steady in labor, even as things happened in a flurry at the end. Gabriel was born into Nathan's hands an announced his presence in this world as he was placed on Iva's chest. It was a lovely birth, and it was a pleasure to be part of the care of this family again as they grow. Congratulations, Gingerich family!
