Getting ready to saddle up for the Greeley Stampede later this month? 🤠🎡
Big events can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming for some children, especially those with sensory sensitivities or who are neurodivergent. Planning ahead can help create a more comfortable experience for the whole family.
A few helpful things to know before you go:
🧘♂️ The Stampede offers a dedicated, air-conditioned Relaxation Station in the events center, where families can step away and reset when you need a break from the noise, crowds or heat.
☀️ Water refill stations are available throughout the grounds and planning breaks throughout the day can help prevent sensory overload.
🎧 Consider bringing noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses, fidgets or a favorite comfort item to help children feel more comfortable during the event.
Every child experiences events differently, and small adjustments can help create more enjoyable experiences for everyone.
