Yes… the rumors are true.

La Posada is preparing to raise the curtain and the glasses on a brand-new resident bar experience.

The Continental Bar, located in the La Perla neighborhood, recently welcomed a small group of residents for a special soft opening hosted by La Posada Dining Services. Guests sampled sweet and savory signature cocktails, explored traditional beer and wine offerings, and enjoyed a first taste of the new handheld bar menu.

But this space is about more than drinks and appetizers.

It is about laughter drifting across the room, stories shared between neighbors, and the simple joy of being present together in a welcoming new social space designed for camaraderie, conversation, and connection.

So here’s a cheerful salud and hearty skål to our social media friends.

What’s it really like working in a retirement community?

Last Thursday, team members at La Posada at Green Valley gathered for a well-earned BBQ lunch to celebrate the people who keep our healthcare neighborhoods running with compassion and teamwork every single day.

Staff from La Joya, La Hacienda, and La Via enjoyed burgers and hot dogs hot off the grill, piled high with toppings, chips, cookies, and a little playful competition that brought plenty of laughter to the afternoon.

Working in senior living means showing up for residents and coworkers alike through busy days, meaningful moments, and even the occasional dinosaur race. It’s work rooted in teamwork, and the understanding that strong communities are built person by person, shift by shift.

At La Posada, community isn’t only something residents experience. It’s something our team members help create together under the Arizona sun.

Bon voyage from La Posada’s La Joya neighborhood!

For La Posada’s 39th Anniversary celebration, residents traded desert pathways for imaginary ocean waves during a cruise ship-inspired dinner filled with “ports of call” from sea to table. From the Iceberg Ahead Shrimp Cocktail to the Captain’s Table Entrée and the decadent Smooth Sailing Chocolate Mousse, every course felt like a passport stamp on a culinary voyage.

The dining room carried the bright energy of a tropical day at sea, where sunlight, conversation, and laughter rolled across the room like gentle waves. Between island-inspired flavors and nautical touches, residents gathered around their tables like longtime shipmates sharing another memorable stop along life’s voyage together.

Moments like this are important at La Posada because they turn an ordinary afternoon into a shared experience, transporting residents far beyond the dining room…sparking stories, friendships, and new conversations along the way.

For the 2026 Memorial Day Weekend holiday, the following services are closed on the La Posada campus:

The Vensel Treasure Shop is closed Saturday, May 23rd, through Memorial Day, May 25th. This store reopens at 9 am on May 26th.

The Posada Java coffeehouse is closed Saturday, May 23rd - Memorial Day, May 25th. Posada Java reopens to customers at 7 am on May 26th.

The La Posada Farmer’s Market at the Shoppes is closed Memorial Day and reopens on Monday, June 1st!

La Posada Outpatient Therapies and Community Services is closed on Memorial Day and reopens at their usual hours on May 26th.

The La Posada Administrative and Marketing Offices are closed on Memorial Day.
