OBITUARY
Mr. Vernon “Duckie” Bloyd of Mt. Sherman, Kentucky, son of the late Rollin Austin Bloyd and Sylvia Despain, was born on November 13, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky. He departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his home having attained the age of 87 years, nine months and ten days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. As a lifelong carpenter, he built numerous homes and enjoyed refinishing furniture.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Bradshaw Bloyd, on August 15, 2025.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Melissa and Johnny Cottrill; three grandchildren: Kris and Naomi Sutherland, Miranda and Michael Lawless, and Maddy and Austin Hinton; seven great-grandchildren: Maizey, Lucy, Rosie, Sawyer, Olivia, Landon and Hailey; one brother: David Buley; plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one grandson: Paul Sutherland; one great-grandson: Malachi Lawless; and three siblings: Austin Bloyd, Hugh Bloyd and Sheila Buley.

The funeral service for Mr. Vernon “Duckie” Bloyd will be conducted at 12 Noon, Central Time, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby officiating.

Visitation is requested after 10 AM, Central Time, on Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

OBITUARY
Mr. Gary Dale “Slim” Logsdon of Hardyville, Kentucky, son of the late Roger Odell and Kathryn Whitlow Logsdon, was born on October 25, 1944 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. He departed this life at his home surrounded by family on Monday, August 17, 2026 having attained the age of 81 years, nine months and 23 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Munfordville Baptist Church. Gary worked as a machine operator at Eaton Axle Corporation and Dana for many years. As a lifelong farmer, he enjoyed being on his tractor. “Slim” was a member of the Caverna High School 1961 Baseball State Championship Team. As an avid golfer and outdoorsman, he enjoyed summers on the lake, grilling out, and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Staples Logsdon, having united in marriage on December 26, 1981.

In addition to his wife, Ann Logsdon of Hardyville, other survivors include one daughter: Tammy Johnson (Steve) of Glasgow; one grandson: Thomas Colton Atwell (Katie) of Cave City; three great-grandchildren: Camden, Teigan and Taelyn; four brothers: Clifton Logsdon of Florida, Jerry Logsdon (Sue) of Oakland, Kelly Logsdon (Mary) of Indiana, and Tim Logsdon of Lexington; one sister: Kathy Cassaday (Chris) of Glasgow; plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Logsdon.

The funeral service for Gary “Slim” Logsdon will be conducted at 1 PM, Central Time, on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Munfordville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Center Point Cemetery. Bro. Billy Compton and Bro. Earlene Branstetter officiating.

Visitation is requested on Friday afternoon at the church from 3 PM until 8 PM, Central Time, and after 9 AM Saturday until the time of the service.

Teresa Marie Milby Collins of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ronnie Dean and Starlene Ann Creason Milby, was born on November 4, 1976 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She departed this life on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky having attained the age of 49 years, nine months and 11 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Teresa was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 124.

Teresa is survived by her husband, James Michael Collins, Jr., having united in marriage on November 29, 2017.

In addition to her husband, James Michael Collins, Jr. of Summersville, other survivors include two daughters: Shellby Milby and Maelee Collins both of Summersville; one sister: Ronda Ginger of Summersville; aunts and uncles: Junior and Patricia Milby, Janet and Mitchell Milby, Lisa and Timmy Shirley, Yevonne Creason, Ronnie Creason, Judy Creason, Ricky and Kay Milby, Wanda and Bobby Patton, and Brenda and Ronnie Estes; nieces and nephews: Weston Judd, Kristen Smith, Daniel Marcum, Christopher Jackson and Tristen Jackson; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mistey Ann Jackson.

Connie Mae Richards Rowe of Adair County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Frank and Oris Logsdon Richards, was born on September 18, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her home having attained the age of 66 years, ten months and 18 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Connie was a lifelong secretary and bookkeeper. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Gram.” She loved animals, especially her dogs.

Survivors include her husband: Monny Rowe of Adair County; two sons: Brian Manship (Nick) of St. Petersburg, Florida, and John Rowe (Elizabeth) of Columbia; a special son-in-law: Richard Miles (Amy Young) of Columbia; grandchildren: Audrey Rowe, Jonah Rowe, Gretchen Miles (Gillian McFarland), Gwendolynn Miles and Genevieve Miles; one great-grandchild: Graeme McFarland; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a special daughter, Dawn Marie Miles, and siblings: Alpha Jane Bolin, Sandra Marie Harrison and Kerry Dee Waite.

She departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Tristar Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 76 years, 10 months and 22 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Global Methodist Church. Beverly was the receptionist for many years at the office of Dr. Robert Shuffett and was later employed by Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She enjoyed the time spent with the UMW ladies, gardening and cooking.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Buchanan, on March 2, 2007.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Sean Buchanan (Sarah) of Glasgow; her mother: Sylvia Kelly of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Asher Penick and Kennan Penick both of Greensburg; one sister and brother-in-law: Robin and Gordon Price of Summersville; a son-in-law: Troy Penick of Greensburg; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Miriah Dawn Penick, on January 18, 2025.
