OBITUARY
Ms. Ashley Nicole Creason Matthews, age 35 of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Anthony Wayne Creason and the late Beverly Rose Hudspeth, was born on December 24, 1990 in Springfield, Illinois.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Ashley was creative and enjoyed sketching.

Survivors include three daughters: Elizabeth, Laura and Hailey; her father: Anthony Wayne Creason; siblings: Anthony Wayne Creason, Crystal Skelton Czerniak, Damien Collins, Brenda Hicks Martin and Kayla Jones; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katelyn Faith Matthews.

The funeral service for Ashley Nicole Creason Matthews will be conducted at 10 AM, Central Time, on Monday, June 1, 2026 at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in Aetna Grove Cemetery.

Public visitation is requested on Sunday from 4 PM until 8 PM, Central Time, and after 7 AM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

OBITUARY
Doris Ann (Shelton) Puckett, 83, of Linwood, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born on May 11, 1943, in Linwood, Kentucky, Doris Ann was the daughter of the late George Orvil “Slim” Shelton and Flora Bell “Pud” (Walters) Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Hannah Puckett.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband , Arlen Lane Puckett. Together they built a life centered around faith, family, and home. She is also survived by her children, Kimberly Rae McCoy (Leonard) of Albany, Georgia; Timothy Lane Puckett (Vickie) of Linwood, Kentucky; and Leigh Ann Puckett of Linwood, Kentucky.

Doris Ann was a proud and loving grandmother to John McCoy, Sarah Strickland (Michael), Miranda Morales (Matt), Rachel Burba (Zachary), and Haleigh Meredith(Jerrett). She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Raylen Strickland, Reece Strickland, Kelsey McCoy, Margaret Morales, Rose Morales, June Morales, William Morales, Andy Burba, Benny Burba, and Chandler Meredith.

A faithful member of Knoxes Creek Baptist Church, Doris Ann generously shared her gifts and talents with her church family throughout the years. Each autumn, she lovingly moved flowers from her own gardens to beautify the church entrance for Homecoming services, a tradition appreciated by many.

Doris Ann’s life centered around the family she loved so fiercely and cared for so devotedly. She was especially known for her exceptional cooking, with her Italian Cream Cake and Banana Croquettes becoming longtime favorites among family and friends. From church suppers and Linwood Days festivities to reunions and holiday gatherings, Doris Ann lovingly shared her talents through the meals and desserts that brought people together.

She also had a special talent for creating beautiful flower gardens filled with overflowing pots of blooms and interesting rocks she had gathered over the years. Many friends, neighbors, and loved ones spent time gathered beneath the large sugar maple trees in her front yard, enjoying good conversation, beautiful flowers, the rolling green fields, and the peaceful pond by the lane. The home she and Arlen shared for decades was the cherished 95-year-old Shelton family homeplace, rich with memories and love.

Doris Ann had a sweet but sassy personality, and people always knew where they stood with her. She could be gentle and calm in spirit, yet fiery when needed. Her strength, honesty, warmth, and deep love for her family and community will never be forgotten.

She will be deeply missed by her many family members, friends, neighbors, and all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service will be held at Knoxes Creek Baptist Church in Linwood, Kentucky, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time. A private family burial will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Knoxes Creek Baptist Church or the Knoxes Creek Cemetery Fund, 5818 Boiling Springs Rd., Munfordville, KY 42765.

Mrs. Janice Jeffries McKinney, of the McKinney Corner community of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Olin and Ortha Pierce Jeffries, was born on February 9, 1950 in Green County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in Green County having attained the age of 76 years, three months and three days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. Janice worked for 34 years at Fruit of the Loom, was a former CNA for Lifeline Home Health, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and Bluegrass Way.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Michael McKinney, on August 10, 2005, having united in marriage on December 30, 1966.

To this union was born three sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Jacqueline McKinney, Brandon and Brianne McKinney and Dustin and Megan McKinney all of Green County; grandchildren: Allie McKinney, Izabella McKinney, Madalyn McKinney, Grayson McKinney and Easton McKinney; one step-grandchild: Braylee Bagby; one adopted grandchild: Tyler Thompson; one sister: Wanda McKinney of Greensburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Shirley Jeffries, G.L. "Duke" and Betty McKinney, Mark and Tammy McKinney, and Leslie Lee all of Green County; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Nelson Jeffries, two brothers-in-law, Larry McKinney and Bob Lee, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Grover and Laverne McKinney.

All services will be conducted privately under the direction of Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with inurnment in the McKinney Family Cemetery.

Mr. Kevin Wayne Miller of Green County, Kentucky, son of Arthur Miller and the late Gerri Andrews Miller, was born on November 4, 1963 in Chula Vista, California. He departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky having attained the age of 62 years and six months.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a former employee of TGKY.

Kevin enjoyed cooking, camping, bonfires, watching the Cowboys and Alabama, but especially loved his baby girl, “Daisy.”

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Milby Miller, having united in marriage on September 1, 2019.

In addition to his wife, Kimberly Miller of Green County, and his father, Arthur Miller of Texas, other survivors include his children: Stacey Miller, Meagan Gibson, Donna Grace Luttrell, Mackenzie Miller and Billy Akin; two grandchildren: Silas, Rowan, and one on the way, Elias; one sister: Lynn Bealfield of Texas; his father-in-law: Walter Milby (Barbara Vollmer) of Green County; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Teresa and Jason Russell, Brian Milby, Jennifer and Jason Milby, and Andy and Alison Milby; plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Miller, and his mother-in-law, Brenda Milby.

A memorial visitation for Kevin Miller will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 between the hours of 4 PM and 6 PM, Central Time, at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg.

He departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Glasgow, Kentucky having attained the age of 69 years, one month and 16 days.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Blaydes Caven, on November 17, 2025.

Survivors include one daughter: Monica McGavin of Cave City; one son: Joey Caven (Teisha) of Greensburg; seven grandchildren; three sisters: Lynda Collins (Kerry) of Campbellsville, Judy Huffman of Greensburg and Margarette Elizabeth Caven of Louisville; plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Caven.

Mr. Rufus Sullivan, age 90, passed away Saturday at the Tender Touch Senior Living in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He was born on March 22, 1937 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Jonas and Malinda Caldwell Sullivan.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Tru Way Ministries.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Arlene Sullivan, in 2023.
Survivors include one son: Jonice Michael Sullivan; two grandchildren: Kim Sullivan and Christopher Sullivan; two great-grandchildren: Tyler Sullivan and Kaitlyn Sullivan; three great-great grandchildren: Kane Sullivan, Oakley Sullivan and Mason Sullivan; two sisters: Gertrude and Merley; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Mitchell Sullivan.

Mrs. Pamela Ruth Handy Burriss of the Bramlett Community of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas Ed and Margaret Howard Handy, was born on October 3, 1950 in Green County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home having attained the age of 75 years, six months and 29 days.

She accepted Christ and was a member of Summershade Methodist Church.

Pam is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Danny Hardin Burriss, having united in marriage on November 1, 1967.

She was a retired dairy farmer, as well as having worked at Fruit of the Loom for 18 years and Tammy’s Closet.

Pam was a loving wife, Mom, and Nanny.

In addition to her husband, Danny Burriss of Bramlett, other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Christy Burriss of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Slade Burriss and Layke Burriss both Campbellsville, Allie Jo Burriss, Brian Dane Burriss and Daylee Claire Burriss all of Green County; great-grandchildren: Easton Burriss, Bramlett Burriss and another great-granddaughter expected in July, Colby Monroe; one brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Ada Mae Handy of Greensburg; one sister and brother-in-law: Tammy and Keith Clements of Greensburg; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Elaine Simpson, and Kim and P*e Di**le Darnell all of Greensburg; plus a host of many friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Eunie and Flodenia Burriss; one brother-in-law: Charlie Simpson.

The funeral services for Mrs. Pam Burriss will be conducted at 11 AM, Central Time, on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Summershade Cemetery. Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating.

OBITUARY
Mr. Kenneth Lee Akers of Mount Sherman, Kentucky, son of the late Chester and Maymie Akers, was born on November 4, 1955 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was raised on the the family farm affectionately called "Walton's Mountain" on Liberty Church Road, until his family moved to Hodgenville. He learned carpentry from his dad and ran his own framing crew by the age of 17. Kenny built hundreds of houses over the years, managed a truss company and Don's Lumber of Greensburg for many years. He came home to the farm and started raising cattle and hay. He opened Mt. Sherman Building Supply until one of many strokes kept him from working anymore. He enjoyed singing, his church and camping with his family.

He was a member of LaRue Baptist Church and led the choir for a period of time. He made a profession of faith early in life, but years later the Lord convicted him that he was not saved. He knelt down in a backfield on the farm and asked the Lord to save him. In doing that, he found a peace that he had never known.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Akers of Mount Sherman; children: Josh (Crystal), Kendrick (Tiffany), McKenna (DeeDee), Wesley (Erica) and Katy (Lee); sisters: Elsie and Francis; sister-in-law: Bonnie; beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Shannon Johnson; brothers: James, Bobby and Billy; and a sister, Betty Walters.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Lee Akers will be conducted at 10 AM (Central Time), (11 AM Eastern Time) on Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Rev. Tim Shirley and Bro. Nathan Housley officiating.

Visitation is requested on Thursday from 4 PM until 8 PM (Central Time), (5 PM until 9 PM Eastern Time) and after 7 AM (Central Time) until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
