National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day may be recognized on one day, but this conversation needs to happen all year long.

In this week’s Just Say Something Podcast, Phil Clark talks about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills, the importance of prevention, and the work of the Power Collective to bring education, resources, and support to families throughout our community.

This message feels especially important following last Friday’s candlelight vigil, where families shared stories of loved ones lost to fentanyl. One statement stood out: “Maybe if we had known where to turn for help, things would have been different.”

That is why we keep talking. Prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery support, and community engagement require all of us, not just on an awareness day, but every day.

Start a conversation. Ask questions. Listen. Share resources. Be present.

One conversation can change a life. One community can save lives.

Last Friday, Just Say Something was proud to join the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and other community partners for National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.

The evening was an important opportunity to come together to remember lives lost, support families and raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl in our community.

Prevention starts with awareness, education and honest conversations. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us in helping spread the message and show that our community stands together.

Support. Remember. Heal.
