Leadership in EMS means showing up when it matters most—unwavering commitment, visionary guidance, and consistent dedication to leading with integrity and purpose. During EMS Week we were proud to present Cassie Murray, AEMT, with the 2026 CA Dean Hospital EMS Leadership Award.

Cassie has worked at CA Dean for more than five years, first as a CNA, then as an EMT-basic, and now as an EMT-advanced. She does an exceptional job of supporting our patients, the hospital, and her co-workers by picking up shifts and consistently overcoming the many challenges that EMTs face every day.

Thank you, Cassie, for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving your patients and colleagues. We appreciate you!

Parents of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, here's a great opportunity for your child to learn how to become a responsible babysitter!👶

Northern Light Mayo Hospital is holding a class on June 17, 18, and 19 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at Friends of Community Fitness Center in Guilford to teach the basics of babysitting. Participants will receive Babysitting, CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed certifications.

Registration ends on Monday, June 15, so act now! A fee of $160 plus a $10 facility fee covers instruction, materials, and everything needed to complete the class.

Thank you to our amazing group of Sangerville caregivers and staff for contributing their time, plants from their own gardens, and gardening supplies to beautify the entrance areas around the health center. 🌻 Kudos to our Primary Care, Greenville team for supporting this good work, too! Everything looks great!

The team lives, works, and plays in the area and understands that they didn’t just plant flowers, they planted pride, teamwork, and community. We appreciate them!

Meet one of the unsung members of the EMS team: our CPR robot!

The CPR robot provides consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac emergencies. The robot doesn’t replace the EMS team, it supports them: instead of providing hands-on CPR, the team can focus on other critical lifesaving care, especially during long transports and high intensity emergencies.

Hands or machine, the goal is the same: keeping lifesaving care going.

On EMS Week, we thank our incredible EMS team for all that they do. They're the best!

Most Northern Light Primary Care practice phone lines are experiencing a temporary outage. We are working with our carrier to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Please use the patient portal to reach out to your primary care team until we are back online.
