🧩🚒 WHEN ONE LITTLE PIECE SPARKS A WHOLE BIG DREAM…

One trip from the fire department and our kiddos are STILL talking about it. ❤️

Firetrucks are rolling, helmets are on, and today… he’s not pretending to be a firefighter. In his world, he IS one.

This is why I love play-based ABA; watching one experience turn into communication, learning, imagination and BIG dreams.

Because when all those little pieces start coming together… who knows where they’ll lead. 🧩✨

👏 CLAP if you can’t believe how fast this happened!

Six months ago, we were just getting started… and now look at us. 💙

More kids.
More team members. More laughter.
More learning.
More lives being touched.

Honestly, our center has grown almost as fast as this Reel is moving — and we’re just getting started. 😂👏

We can’t help but clap about it!

Giving Them More Ways to THRIVE!

School can teach so much...but some children benefit from a little more individualized time to practice communication, social skills, independence, transitions, and everyday confidence.

That's one of the beautiful things about play-based ABA: one-on-one support, more opportunities to practice, and goals built around your child's needs.

Just like extra practice helps a young athlete or musician grow, ABA can give children another place to learn, practice, and take those skills with them wherever they go-including school!

Why do we LOVE Mr. Potato Head?

Because one silly little potato can work on LANGUAGE, BODY AWARENESS, FINE MOTOR SKILLS, REQUESTING, FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS, TURN TAKING, PROBLEM - SOLVING and PRETEND PLAY; sometimes all in the same activity!
And when a child is genuinely interested in the toy, we can build learning around something that already has their attention.

Who knew a little potato could do so much?😂

At SOS Pelham, the difference isn’t just the building, the toys, or the therapy rooms—it’s the PEOPLE.

As CEO, Deb Jones is also one of the faces our families and team see every day—at check in, check outs, jumping in when help is needed, replacing things, encouraging our staff, and making sure our kiddos are cared for. And she’s just ONE part of an AMAZING TEAM that truly makes SOS Pelham what it is.

If your family has experienced the SOS Difference, we’d love to hear it. 💙

We had a little sensory-room heartbreak this month!
Our much-loved bubble tube accidentally fell over and cracked, and we have to admit… we’re pretty sad about it. 💜

Our kiddos loved watching the bubbles and little fish float up and down, and it was such a calming favorite in the room.

We’re hoping to replace it soon, so if anyone in our community knows of a great place to find sensory equipment at a reasonable cost, we’d love the recommendation.

Until then… rest easy, Bubble Tube. You brought a whole lot of calm and happiness while you were here. 🫧💙

What if we learned to see the signs BEFORE the meltdown? 💙

Sometimes the signs are so small we miss them: getting quiet, staring, pulling away, covering ears, or suddenly not responding. Then the meltdown happens and it feels like it came out of nowhere.

But sometimes behavior is the message before a child has the words. 💙

🚒 SOS Pelham’s VERY FIRST Field Trip Was a FIRETRUCK Kind of Friday! ❤️

What an AMAZING Friday!
The Greenville City Fire Department brought the firetruck to SOS Pelham, and our kiddos did such an incredible job exploring, participating and having fun.

They climbed inside the truck, tried on REAL firefighter coats and hats, and even got to see the lights — all in a safe, sensory-friendly experience made just for them.

We are SO proud of our kids and so thankful to the firefighters who were patient, kind and made this first field trip one we’ll always remember. 🚒❤️
