Today, several members of the Reproductive Journey team attended A Mom Like That: Lived Experience Insights on Postpartum Psychosis, a timely and powerful training bringing together clinical expertise and personal experience.

With postpartum psychosis currently part of a highly visible national conversation, thoughtful and accurate education matters. Postpartum psychosis is a serious psychiatric emergency that requires immediate, specialized care—but it should not be confused with the far more common experiences of postpartum depression, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts. The overwhelming majority of people experiencing postpartum mental health conditions do not harm themselves or others.

Listening to survivors alongside reproductive mental health professionals helps us better recognize symptoms, respond without judgment, and support families in accessing appropriate care.

Ongoing education is central to our commitment to providing specialized, compassionate care throughout the reproductive journey. We’re grateful for opportunities like this to continue learning together as a team—and from those willing to share their lived experience.
