The Marion Downs Center is recognized worldwide for its unique leadership and progressive innovations in the realm of hearing and deafness.

The Marion Downs Center provides culturally sensitive services, resources, education, and research to support the needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have communication challenges, their families, and the professionals who serve them. All MDC activities value individual and family choice in communication and use of technology, striving to optimize the quality of life for al

l that it serves. The MDC operates as a nonprofit “Center of Excellence”, developing and providing hearing, speech, and language services and programs to the Colorado community.

Meet teen role models who are Deaf and build connections with the Deaf community across Colorado!

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of gathering for the MDC Legacy Reception, a special evening celebrating the incredible legacy of Marion Downs and honoring Steven Cass, MD, for his remarkable contributions and all he has accomplished in carrying that legacy forward.

It was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful connections, celebration, and gratitude for the people who continue to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

A special shoutout to Hazel and her band for providing the incredible live music and creating such a fun atmosphere throughout the evening! 🎶

🎉 Please help us give a warm Marion Downs Center welcome to our newest team member!

We're excited to introduce the amazing addition to our Speech Therapy team as we look to expand our speech services to help more people in the community:

💙 Sara joins us from the University of Colorado Boulder as our new Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow. She'll be helping strengthen listening and supporting language and literacy through listening and spoken language therapy.

We're so excited to have Sara as part of the Marion Downs Center family. Sara is now seeing patients and is excited to help individuals strengthen their communication skills and reach their goals. Yesterday was a wild adventure at our Marion's Way Pop-Up Camp! 🦁

Our Marion's Way Summer Camp students explored early literacy through a fun-filled safari of music, stories, movement, and imaginative jungle adventures. There were so many smiles, laughs, and learning moments along the way!

These small-group camps are specially designed for children with hearing technology, creating a supportive space to build listening, communication, and early reading skills while making new friends.

We can't wait to do it again, and we hope you'll join us for our next early literacy and learning camp!
