Fun Friday 8/7/26: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams have been busy out and about in the communities we serve!

We had a wonderful partners lunch at Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe and loved playing games with the residents of The Phoenix at Lake Joy!

Our clinical team did blood pressure checks for the members of Upson Senior Center and our wonderful singer Doc sang for the lovely residents of The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes!

We pampered the ladies at The Palms at Lake Spivey with manicures and had a great time crafting with the members of Upson County Senior Center and Timberfalls Senior Apartments.

Congratulations to our guessing game winners from Snapping Shoals EMC and City of Conyers, GA.

As always, it was a great week at Brightmoor!

Thankful Thursday 8/6/26: Each Thursday we like to highlight a member of our team that has gone above and beyond in some special way!

This week's submission comes from Community Outreach Coordinator, Madeline Crane:

This week, I was reminded how much thoughtfulness can mean.We had the privilege of celebrating a gentleman who, at 66 years old, had never had a birthday party. While simply celebrating him would have been special, Abby went a step further. She thoughtfully and intentionally picked out gifts with him in mind and made sure he could experience the joy of opening birthday presents chosen just for him.

It wasn’t about the gifts themselves; it was about making sure he experienced all the little moments that make a birthday feel special. Watching him celebrate with friends was a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to make someone feel seen, valued, and loved.

💙 Did you know hospice cares for the family just as much as the patient?

One of the biggest misconceptions about hospice is that we only care for the person who is ill. In reality, our goal is to support everyone who loves them.

Hospice provides families with:
🤝 Education on what to expect as illness progresses.
📞 24/7 access to a hospice nurse for questions or urgent concerns.
💙 Emotional support during difficult moments.
🙏 Spiritual care, if desired.
📋 Help navigating healthcare decisions and community resources.
🫂 Bereavement support for loved ones after a loss.

You don't have to know all the answers. You don't have to do everything perfectly. Our job is to walk beside you, answer your questions, and help you feel supported every step of the way.

💙**Remember:** Accepting hospice doesn't mean you're giving up on your loved one. It means you're choosing comfort, dignity, and compassionate support for the entire family.

Fun Friday 7/31/26: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams have been busy out and about in the communities we serve!

We had a wonderful time hosting the "Watermelon Social" for The Canopy at Westridge. We always love the butter bean auctions with Macon Rehabilitation & Healthcare and had a blast at the Arlington Senior Living "Back to School Bash".

The day trip to The Varsity with Legacy Transitional Care and Rehab was so much fun and we were honored to attend the station 9 ribbon cutting with Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry and Gail Hambrick on Clayton County.

We hosted Bingo with the lovely residents of The Gardenias Assisted Living & Memory Care and love crafting with our friends at Spalding County Senior Center and Lamar County Active Life Senior Center where we also hosted a veterans breakfast.

We brought breakfast to the amazing staff of the Pre-K program at First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia and beat the heat at the Spalding County Leisure Services "Spalsh a poalooza" and donated book bags to Just Because United...

As always, it was a great week at Brightmoor!
