Most injectors don’t know how to use threads—and I hear all the time that “threads don’t work.”

They do. But depth matters.

If your threads aren’t placed in the correct tissue plane, you’re not going to get the lift or support you’re looking for.

I’ve been working with and teaching threads for years, and I actually hold a patent for my own thread technique. In this case, I’m using threads to create definition and support along a male jawline while keeping the result natural and masculine.

Threads can be an incredibly useful tool when you understand the anatomy, the right patient, and exactly where to place them.

Final results from our jawline series! This treatment was a combination of Restylane Lyft to add structural support followed with RHA 3 to fill and blend the hollows. The result is a visibly smoother, straighter jawline that compliments her entire face. Check out our reels from this series to watch the technique!

I’m using a small amount of Sculptra as a skin enhancer - placed superficially, Sculptra can stimulate collagen exactly where the skin has become thin and wrinkled. We’re not adding any volume - we’re creating stronger, healthier skin with better texture and support over time.

A closer look at one of my safety techniques.

Before injecting near the facial artery, I tap the needle down to bone, hold it completely steady with my non-injecting hand, and aspirate. If blood enters the syringe, I know I’m in a vessel and reposition before injecting.

Aspiration, when performed correctly, is one of the many layers of safety I use when treating higher-risk anatomy.
