Has anyone ever heard of Sherlock Holmes? 🤔

On our boat cruise, this stunning stone castle was the home of William Gillette, the legendary actor who brought Sherlock Holmes to life on stage.

It’s just a short, scenic ferry ride across the Connecticut River for us, and what a treat it is. So much rich history right here in our own backyard! 🏰

As part of our Signature Program, we love taking monthly trips to the local art galleries. 🖼️

This time, we visited the Lyme Art Association, and of course, we couldn’t resist a stop at Hallmark Drive-In afterward for hand-scooped ice cream, packed with love in every bite.

A perfect blend of culture and sweetness! 👏

What a lovely summer day for a picnic! 🧺 🌞

We enjoyed fruit, w**e, and cheese with the stunning backdrop of Gillette Castle behind us.

The best part of the day? Watching a group stroll by, prompting our resident Helen to lean over and say, “Tourists!”

We didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.

Every month, we have a tea party themed to our destination. and this month we headed to New York City! 🏙️

We enjoyed smoked salmon bagel sandwiches, classic New York cheesecake, and rich chocolate babka — bringing the flavors of the Big Apple right to our tea table. 😋

Our Sweet Memories residents had a wonderful day at Hammonasset Beach State Park, taking in the butterfly gardens at Meigs Point and soaking up the fresh sea air at Connecticut’s largest shoreline park! 🏖️ 🌳

There’s nothing like a quick trip to the beach — the sunshine, the salt air, and the beauty all around bring so much joy and connection.

We’re so lucky to have such a special place right in our backyard! 🤩

Our Assisted living residents enjoyed a beautiful day at Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale, a New England seafood staple! 🐟 🍽️

Outings to familiar, beloved restaurants mean so much — the sights, smells, and flavors bring back cherished memories and spark joy and connection.

We’re so lucky to live close to the coast and share fresh seafood served with a side of great memories. 🚗

What a beautiful evening at our July ! 🥳 🍽️

This past month, we traveled to Spain and France, and we went all out — a gorgeous paella from Dining Services Director, Antonio, a strolling mariachi band filling the room with music, and plenty of love all around. 🎺🪇

Our Dining Services team truly outdid themselves, right down to the delicious desserts.

Nights like these remind us how much joy good food, good music, and good company can bring. ❤️
