Join us for a fun afternoon of great food and community at our BBQ Fundraiser! 🌭🔥

Come enjoy pulled pork, burgers, brats, mac and cheese, and more while supporting the Peter Becker Auxiliary. Bring your family, your friends, and your appetite. Rain or shine, we’ll be grilling and gathering together.

🎟️ Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under.

We hope to see you there for good food, great company, and a meaningful cause.

A special thank you to Sam and Danielle at Stoneleigh: a natural garden, along with our own resident Helen, a Native Lands volunteer, for a wonderful garden and home tour 🌿

We enjoyed learning about the rich history of Stoneleigh, exploring the differences between native and invasive plants, and spending a beautiful afternoon immersed in nature. 🌳🪴

🪵 This month brought a big upgrade to the Peter Becker Woodworking Shop as John Walz and Bob Coble transformed the old clamp rack into a much more organized and functional space. What once looked like a scrapyard now has new life thanks to a thoughtful redesign.

Rob Russell has been hard at work preparing for the fall Craft Show, creating twenty co****le boards for children, while Liz Hand continues to hone her craft in the carving class, currently working on a wooden spoon that takes time, patience, and skill.

It’s a space full of creativity, collaboration, and craftsmanship.

Fresh air, sunshine, and a little time in the garden 🌿

Gardening is a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors, and with a few simple tips, it can stay safe and comfortable too.

Start with a stretch, stay hydrated, and use tools that are easy to handle. Raised planters can help reduce bending, and taking breaks throughout your time in the garden makes a big difference. Do not forget sun protection and try to garden during cooler parts of the day.

At Peter Becker Community, we love helping residents enjoy the activities they love while staying safe and supported.🪴💙

In honor of National Nurses Week last week, we celebrated the incredible nurses within our own community 💙

Our resident nurses came together to share their experiences, from nursing school memories to the meaningful moments that shaped their careers. The connections and conversations across campus made the day especially memorable.

We also had a little fun with a History of Nursing trivia game, bringing smiles and a few friendly challenges along the way.

Thank you, nurses, for the care and compassion you shared with your communities throughout your service!

We were honored to host our annual Spirit Care Seminar, bringing together clergy and ministry leaders for a meaningful morning of connection and learning.

This year’s seminar, Healing Together: Trauma Informed Care in Ministry, focused on supporting those who care for others by providing practical insights and tools to better serve their communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our presenter, Dr. Aemina Razzano, for sharing her knowledge and experience.
