🖤🔮 Okay, Witches - Let's Get Mystical! 🔮🖤

This Thursday, October 29th, I'll be bringing out my fun side and doing a little divination magic in downtown Hastings for Witches Night Out! 🧙‍♀️✨

☕🍃 TEA LEAF READINGS at What the Dickens?!

Join me from 5–7 PM for a little tasseomancy (aka tasseography)—the art of reading tea leaves! We'll sip, swirl, and see what stories the leaves might have to tell. Whether you're a seasoned seeker or just curious about what your teacup might reveal, come say hello and let's see what unfolds! ☕🔮

🌿 Want to keep the good vibes going?

I may also have an opening for a soundwork session at The Sacred Hallow after 7 PM! If your evening calls for a little less witchy bustle and a little more restorative resonance, reach out and let's see what we can arrange. 🔔✨

🌳 The Phoenix Tree
A resting place for transformational work.

You don't have to earn your rest.

Read that again.

You. Don't. Have. To. Earn. Your. REST.

Not by finishing the to-do list.
Not by taking care of everyone else first.
Not by reaching the point of complete exhaustion.

You are allowed to pause BEFORE you burn out. 💚

Reiki & Soundwork sessions at The Phoenix Tree offer a little space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

✨ Consider this your permission slip.

🌿 When should you seek out a practitioner? 🌿

Short answer? You don't have to wait until you're running on fumes.

💚You know that feeling when you're tired, but you can't seem to relax? When your body wants to rest, but your brain has other plans? When everything feels a little heavier than it should, and you just need a moment to catch your breath?

Or maybe nothing is wrong at all. You just want to feel more grounded, reconnect with yourself, or explore something new!

✨ That's a pretty good time to give Reiki or Soundwork a try.

You can meditate at home. You can listen to relaxing music. You can take a bath, go for a walk, or curl up with a good book. But sometimes, having someone else create the space for you makes it easier to step out of your usual routine and simply receive.

With Reiki, you can settle into a quiet, supportive session focused on relaxation and gentle energywork.

With soundwork, you can immerse yourself in the resonant tones of singing bowls, chimes, gong, and other instruments, giving your attention somewhere to rest while you take a break from the noise of everyday life.

Neither requires experience. You don't have to believe anything in particular, and there's no right or wrong way to experience a session.

You don't need to be broken to deserve a little care.

You don't need to earn your rest.

And you don't have to wait until you're overwhelmed to make space for yourself.

🌳 Sometimes the best time to pause is before you feel like you have to.

If you've been curious about Reiki or soundwork, consider this your invitation. I'd love to welcome you to The Phoenix Tree at The Sacred Hallow in Hastings.

✨ Come as you are. Pause. Breathe. Listen. See what unfolds.

Walk-in sessions are available Friday & Saturday this week, or on weekdays by appointment!

🌳 Give yourself permission to pause.

We spend so much of our day working, doing, running, problem-solving, stressing, overthinking, giving, pushing, and crashing... When was the last time you took a moment to JUST BE?

And when was the last time you tried to give yourself that moment, only to have your brain keep on spinning, making even your quiet moments a mental-hurricane?

Reiki & Soundwork can help with that.

Our nervous systems help us navigate the world, respond to stress, and find our way back to a sense of safety. But between constant notifications, endless scrolling, daily responsibilities, and the pressure to always be doing something, it's easy to forget what it feels like to truly slow down.

Sometimes, distraction helps us get through the moment. But sometimes, what we really need is a chance to stop, settle in, and give ourselves space to breathe.

So if you are feeling like you need a better way to help yourself cope with stress - this is your sign!

I have openings for Reiki & Soundwork sessions this Friday and Saturday at The Sacred Hallow in Hastings. Whether you're looking for deep relaxation, curious about energywork, or simply need an hour where nobody needs anything from you… I'd love to welcome you. 🥰

🔔 HOW DOES SOUNDWORK ACTUALLY WORK?

This is where things get interesting.

Sound is vibration—and our bodies are very good at noticing vibration.

When you listen to a sound, your ears aren't the only thing involved. Your brain is processing rhythm, pitch, volume, pattern, and changes in sound while your attention responds to what's happening around you.

Slow, predictable, immersive sounds can give your attention something gentle to settle into.

And when you aren't constantly jumping between notifications, conversations, responsibilities, and the million other things competing for your attention?

You get a little space.

A little quiet.

A chance to breathe.

Research into music-based interventions suggests that intentional listening and music experiences can influence psychological stress and anxiety, although researchers are still working out exactly how different types of sound produce different effects.

From an energetic perspective, many people experience sound as something they can feel as well as hear.

The vibration of a gong.

The resonance of a singing bowl.

The shimmer of a chime.

The sound moving through the room—and through your awareness.

You don't have to decide exactly why it feels good.

You can simply notice what happens when you stop and listen.

🌿 Sometimes the body understands something before the mind has words for it.

If you would like to try a little bit of soundwork for yourself, stop in at The Sacred Hallow Fridays and Saturdays to check it out!

🌿 WHAT IS SOUNDWORK? 🌿

You may have heard of sound baths, sound healing, or sound meditation—but what exactly is soundwork?

At its simplest, soundwork is the intentional use of sound, rhythm, vibration, and listening to create a space for rest, awareness, and reconnection.

During a session, I use instruments such as singing bowls, gong, chimes, and other resonant instruments to create an immersive soundscape that you can simply listen to and experience.

There is a science to it, too.

Our brains are constantly responding to the sounds around us. Rhythm, tone, repetition, and changes in sound can influence our attention, emotional state, and physiological arousal. Research on music-based interventions has found meaningful effects on stress and anxiety, although the specific effects vary from person to person and from one type of intervention to another.

And then there is the part that is harder to put into a research paper.

Sound is vibration.

Many healing traditions have worked with sound and vibration for centuries as a way of creating balance, shifting awareness, and connecting with something deeper.

You don't have to choose between the science and the mystery.

You can simply listen.

Breathe.

Notice what you notice.

✨ Soundwork is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and make a little space for yourself.
