Dosha Campbell , age 71, of Yerkes, KY, passed on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Dosha attended Red Star Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Dosha treasured the moments spent with her family the most. Alongside going to church she received great reward for feeding her family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Sam White and the late Alice Mae "Morris" White. She is also preceded in death by One Son: Jody Russell Campbell; Two Daughters: Rosalena Baker & Laura Deaton;, Brothers: Gilbert White, Jasper White & Henry White and Sisters: Pearlie Bailey, Golden Campbell, Freda Caudill and Polly Ann White.

She is survived by her Husband: Press Campbell; One Daughter: Neveah Mullins & One Son: David Castle; Four Sisters: Brenda Hurt, Sally Reynold (Mack), Reda Jackson (Garry) & Bobby Hazel Shuler; Special Nephew: Joey Bailey; Five Grandchildren: Preston (Miranda), Brandon (Amber), Allison (Hershel), Crystal Deaton & Isabella Campbell; Ten Great Grandchildren: Natalee, Mason, Bryson, Tiffany, Joanna, Bradley, Oakley, Landon, JaKoby & Maverick and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends

Marie "Queenie" Jones, age 63, of Bulan, KY, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center. A big part of Marie’s life was devoted to the care and rescue of animals. She travelled many miles to help give an animal a forever home. She was a part of many different rescue organizations. She also enjoyed bingo, travel and just being out driving around.

She was the daughter of the late Paul Edward Stover and the late Orlena Campbell. She is also preceded in death by Husband: James “Bo” Jones and Brother-In-Law: Gary Jent.

She leaves surviving Two Sons: Clayton Jones (Candice), Lost Creek, KY & James "Dip" Jones (Mary), Blackey, KY; One Sister: Anna Jent, Rowdy, KY; One Brother: Tommy Stover (Heidi), Michigan; Special Niece: Junebug; Twenty Two Grandchildren: Keiona, Aleigha, TeBo, Cameron, Katie, Emmaleigh, Nikki, Jamie, Aubrey, Jimason, Grayson, Jim, Serenity, Hunter, Coltin, Kena, Allie, Colton, RayShell, Madison, Evan & Larry; Five Great Grandchildren and A Host of Family & Friends.

Martha Burkhart Gross, age 74, of Combs, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was a member of Combs First Baptist Church. Martha enjoyed shopping and, above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Martha was born on November 17, 1951, in Emmalena, KY, to the late Edgar Burkhart and the late Liza Jane Ritchie Burkhart. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her Husband: Henry Gross; Two Sisters: Alma Burkhart & Immogene Jean Williams and Four Brothers: Herbert, Jackie, Benny & Leo Burkhart.

Martha leaves surviving Two Daughters: Tina Smith (Kenny) & Lou Ann Blair (Rodney); One Brother: James Burkhart; Three Grandchildren: Kevin Smith (Kristyn), Amanda Blair & Rae Ann Blair (Hunter); Two Great-Grandchildren: Gabriel & Tommie as well as A Host of Nieces. Nephews, Family & Friends.

Linda Shockey (Noplis) Castleman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on February 28, 1948.

Linda devoted almost 30 years of her life to teaching elementary school. Her dedication to children and education touched the lives of countless students and families, and teaching was a meaningful part of who she was.

Linda cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her daughter, Kandace Noplis Hunt and her husband, Kelly Hunt; her son, Charles Noplis II, MD; and her grandchildren, Joshua Hunt, Courtney Hunt Brown and her husband, Sam Brown, Chloe Hunt, and Dominic Noplis. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Whitaker, and her best friend, Brenda Kilburn, who shared many wonderful adventures and memories with Linda.

Linda loved to travel with her late husband, Dallas Castleman, creating memories that she treasured throughout her life. She also enjoyed adventures with Brenda, bird watching, and working on word search puzzles.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Smith; her father, Manuel Shockey; and her beloved husband, Dallas Castleman.

Linda will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to her students, her adventurous spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM Saturday October 24, 2026 at Maggards Mtn. View Chapel, 352 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard, KY with a memorial service honoring Linda’s life at 1:00 PM

Ruth Ann Coots, age 78, of Viper, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. She enjoyed drawing and crocheting. Being outside with her dogs was a simple pleasure.

She is survived by A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Family & Friends.

Juanita Caudill, age 59, of Hazard, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Hazard Medical Center. Juanita worked many years as a dispatcher at the Hazard City Police. She enjoyed travelling and going on cruises.

She was the daughter of Fred Caudill and the late Josephine Shell Caudill.

Besides her father she leaves Two Brothers: Timothy Wayne Caudill & Gregory Allen Caudill and A Host of Close Family & Friends.

Thelma Jean Williams, born November 13, 1941, departed this life on October 17th, 2026, peacefully at her home, being 84 years old. Thelma was born at Farler, KY. She was the daughter of Henry Dillon & Mary Jane Williams Dillon. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Otis Williams; sons: Johnny & Henry Williams; sisters: Sara Bowling, Magdlene Perry, Chelsea Estep, Josephine Dillon and grandchild: Candice Williams.

Thelma leaves the following relatives to love and cherish her precious memory, Daughter: Christine Davis (Tommy) of Viper, KY; Brother: Harlen Dillon (Sue) of Missouri; Six Grandchildren: Maranda Thompson, Anthony Williams (Gabrielle), Casey Williams (Christa Danielle), Dakota Williams (Fredith), Collyn Williams (Madison) & Holly Williams; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren: Damian, Elijah, Madelynn, Hunter, Lilith, Kierra, Kaydance, Cayden, Markus, Zoey, Braxton, Boyd, Kayle, Kyle & Candice.

Thelma loved gardening, her flowers and decorating her home for the holidays. She treasured spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Thelma enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially at her home for the holidays. Quilting was another favorite past-time for Thelma, as well as watching the Kentucky Wildcats & Cincinnati Reds. Throughout her health & memory failing, she continued to praise God and talked daily for His help.

Services are being handled by Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel in Hazard, where the family will receive friends for visitation Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11am until 1pm. Funeral Service will begin 1pm, Friday, October 23, 2026, with Karl Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Hall Cemetery at Viper, KY.

John "Bo Jack" Neace, age 49, of Hazard, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at U.K. Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. Bo enjoyed playing guitar, gambling, trucks and guns. He was a very upbeat person who would do anything for anyone. He adored his sister and his fiancé Martha was his world. Spending time with his friends and friends was moments he treasured the most.

He is preceded in death by his Parents: Hobert & Helen Gwin.

He leaves surviving Fiancé: Martha Campbell; One Sister: Tracy Bowling (Jamie); Special Cousin: Zack Neace; Fur Baby: Snoop and a host of close Family & Friends

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Rose Carolyn Johnson, age 97, of Hazard, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Hazard Health and Rehab Center. She was a longtime member of Buckhorn Presbyterian Church. Rose was a retired teacher. She was the last surviving teacher of Witherspoon College. She enjoyed many homemaker activities such as gardening, baking and crocheting.

She was the daughter of the late Hensley Sparks and the late Mable Rose Burns Sparks. She is also preceded in death by her Husband Fred Johnson; Daughter: Alicia and One Brother H.C. Sparks.

She leaves surviving One Daughter: Diane Papini (John); One Son: David Johnson (Janet); Four Grandchildren: Josh, Jake (Bethany), Jordan & Christopher (Aunde); Six Great Grandchildren: Eloise, Vera, Madyson, Talan, Cailynn & Preston.

Carolyn Sue Amburgey, age 73, of Vicco, KY, passed Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Hazard Medical Center. Carolyn was a simple lady. She enjoyed listening to music, watching westerns and cooking. She adored her pugs.

She was the daughter of the late Rant Jent and the late Illie Zolie Jent. She is also preceded in death by One Brother: Donald and Three Sisters: Rosie, Faye & Audrey.

She is survived by her Husband; Aaron Amburgey; Two Sons: Robert Amburgey (Jessica) & Aaron Amburgey Jr. (Becky); Five Daughters: Aileen Smith (Terry), Vickie Ballou (Rick), Priscilla Caudill (James), Thelma Amburgey (Butch) & Betty Ritchie; Two Sisters: Maxine Fitch (David) & Lisa Jent; Two Brothers: Rant Jent, Jr. (Sandra) & Odis Jent; Special Nieces and Nephews: Montana, Constance, Garland and Arnold; Grandchildren: Christopher, Kelsey & Summer along with a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews
