What a room. What an experience. What a privilege. 🤍

Thank you to Dr. Tanya Bass and the NCSEXCON planning committee for welcoming me to present at the 2026 Homecoming Conference in Raleigh. And thank you to every single person who walked into that session with an open heart and a willingness to go there.

Women deserve spaces where every stage of their s*xual development and aging is spoken about with honesty, care, and zero shame. That is what that room felt like — and I am so grateful to have been part of creating it. 💛

Intimacy and eroticism are not opposites. They are partners. 🤍

Real fulfillment in a relationship is not just about physical connection — and it is not just about emotional closeness either. It is what happens when both exist together. When you feel truly seen by someone and also truly desired by them. When safety and passion are not in competition but in conversation with each other.

That is the kind of connection that lasts. And it is absolutely possible.

What does genuine fulfillment in a relationship mean to you? Share in the comments. I would love to hear your thoughts.

The most intimate moment between two people is not always physical.

It is when you reveal your truth — all of it — and the person across from you does not flinch. When vulnerability is met with safety. When being fully yourself is not just accepted but welcomed.

đź’« That is what real intimacy feels like. And you deserve nothing less.

Big news! 🎉

I’m honored to be presenting at the 2026 North Carolina Sexual Health Conference — celebrating its 10‑year anniversary — this August in Raleigh.

I’ll be in the Graham Room at 1:25 PM on Thursday, August 13, when I go live with my presentation:
When a Kiss Needs to Be More Than a Kiss — Understanding Sexual Before and Aftercare for Women in Perimenopause, Menopause, and Beyond.

This conversation is long overdue, and I cannot wait to be in that room.

Will you be there? Drop a “me” 🎉
I would love to connect in person.

P**n is entertainment, not education. It is not a realistic, accurate, or authentic guide for real‑life intimacy or relational expectations. What you see on a screen is performance: curated, edited, and intentionally designed to capture attention, not to teach connection. When we rely on it as a reference point, it can distort how we understand our bodies, our partners, and the emotional work that true intimacy requires.

As we move through this series, I want to gently remind you that intimacy is built through communication, consent, curiosity, and care—not choreography. Real connection lives in the unfiltered and awkward moments that make up s*xual connection, the honest conversations, and the mutual attunement that performance can’t replicate. I hope that this space helps you learn, unlearn unrealistic expectations, and release the need to perform, and instead supports you in opening and connecting with what is real, human, and possible.

We look forward to journeying with you as we share more meaningful posts in the realms of intimacy and s*xuality. If this resonates, feel free to like and share with others who may need these reminders on their own journeys into the complex, tender, and deeply human spaces of intimacy and s*xuality.

Healing from betrayal trauma often begins in the quietest places — the moments when you start listening to yourself again, honoring what you feel, and trusting what your intuition has been trying to tell you. What once felt like breaking has become the opening through which clarity, strength, and self‑trust are returning. You are learning to speak from your authentic self, to name your needs without apology, and to stay grounded in your truth.

This is what recovery looks like: reclaiming your voice, using it with intention, and refusing to shrink yourself to make others comfortable. The betrayal didn’t silence your voice; it strengthened your resolve to honor it.

As we conclude our series on betrayal trauma and recovery, my hope is that you have found the information helpful, the steps forward accessible, and your path toward complete healing more visible.

Each time you give yourself permission to be vulnerable, you learn that it is — and can be — frightening. And yet, you trust your inner knowing and do it anyway. You are learning how to operate from your purest, most authentic self, where you no longer negate your voice, wants, needs, truths, or desires.

You are discovering that you can remain open, stay grounded, and do more than just survive — thriving feels reachable.
Through these small acts of bravery, you are trusting your judgment and learning that you can speak from a place of truth without being harsh or abrasive. You are recognizing who is safe and who isn’t, and realizing that no matter what, you are — and will be — safe. These steady steps forward show you that the betrayal did not destroy you.

And in honoring both what was and what is emerging, may you trust that every small, intentional step is shaping who you are becoming. With each step, you are building a life that reflects your truth, your resilience, and your capacity to heal.

As you move through betrayal trauma and into recovery, you begin to see how true this is. What once felt like breaking has become the opening through which clarity, strength, and self‑trust are returning. You are learning to listen to your intuition, honor your needs, and stay connected to your authentic self.

Each small, intentional step is shaping who you are becoming — someone grounded, resilient, and capable of healing fully. The wound did not end your story; it became the place where your light begins to emerge.

Stabilizing your nervous system is one of the first anchors in healing. After betrayal, your mind, body, and emotions can feel scattered or in freefall, and while it may feel unsettling, it is a normal response to rupture.

Regulation begins with small, intentional acts—breathwork, somatic grounding, gentle movement, rest, and nourishing your body in simple ways. These practices help your system ease out of survival mode and remind you that safety can return, slowly and steadily.

Keeping your expectations realistic is equally essential. Right now, getting through the day is enough. You are not meant to make major decisions while your nervous system is still trying to find its footing. A therapist trained in betrayal trauma can help you establish a grounded baseline, offering a calm, nonjudgmental space where your body and mind can settle. In that space, you’re reminded that you are not weak or broken—you are responding exactly as a human does when trust has been shattered.
