Catholic Hospice is a community-based not-for-profit program serving the South Florida community since 1988. Catholic Hospice provides responsive end-of-life care for patients of all ages and faiths, and assists families in caring for a loved one with reverence and dignity at the most vulnerable time in life’s journey. Our patients, residents and those who use our services are our first responsibility. We provide our services with love, skill, compassion and respect for all human dignity - regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation.

"Having relied on Catholic Hospice during three of the most important and difficult moments of my life, I can sincerely say that my gratitude toward this organization is immense."

Trust is built over time, and there is no greater honor than being invited to walk alongside families through life's most vulnerable moments. Over the years, Leidet entrusted Catholic Hospice with the care of her mother, her father, and most recently, her husband, Orlando.

Her words remind us that hospice care is about more than medical care. It is about providing understanding, reassurance, comfort, and compassionate support when families need it most. As Leidet shared, our team provided not only care and assistance, but also "understanding, reassurance, and comfort" during a deeply difficult time.

On this World Mission Sunday, Catholic Hospice reflects on our sacred mission to serve others with compassion, dignity, and love.

Through our ministry, we are called:
• To provide healthcare and services to those in need
• To minimize human suffering
• To assist people toward wholeness
• To nurture awareness of God's presence in their lives

We are grateful for the patients, families, caregivers, employees, volunteers, and supporters who help bring this mission to life every day.

Every Friday this October, our Catholic Hospice team is proudly showing up in PINK to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

Today, we're shining a spotlight on team members from our Holy Cross Inpatient Care Center, Social Work team and team members at our Miami Lakes Office, who joined together to raise awareness, honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand in solidarity with everyone impacted by breast cancer.

At Catholic Hospice, compassion extends beyond the care we provide our patients and families. It means supporting one another, our community, and the causes that touch so many lives.

At Catholic Hospice, we understand that the transition into hospice care is often accompanied by uncertainty, grief, and many emotions. That is why we are committed to providing compassionate support, guidance, and assurance to both patients and their loved ones throughout the journey.

Catholic Hospice has a dedicated team of Bereavement Counselors ready to support patients and families during some of life's most challenging moments. By offering a listening ear, emotional support, and reassurance, they help families feel less alone as they navigate difficult transitions and anticipate the road ahead.

Because support for the family is support for the patient. When caregivers feel heard, informed, and reassured, they are better able to focus on what matters most: spending meaningful time with their loved one.
