MONDAY MEET THE TEAM!

This week, we’re introducing the most recent addition to our team, Dr. Josh, Doctor of Chiropractic here at Lighthouse Family Chiropractic!

Here’s a little more about Dr. Josh:

📍 Hometown: Columbus, Ohio (graduating from Hilliard Bradley in 2018)

🏠 How long at Lighthouse: He joined us after moving back to Ohio from Florida and has been here for 4 months!

❤️ Favorite part of working at Lighthouse: “Being able to help patients feel better and move better in all stages of life.”

📚 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic - Daytona Beach, Florida.

🦴 Why did he choose chiropractic?: “From my athletic background at Hilliard Bradley and continuing to play football through college I had always known that I wanted to work in a field where I could help people, but also wanted to work to help people move, exercise and heal. I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Steve while in undergraduate school, and after that I decided that chiropractic would be the field that would allow me to do that to the fullest.”

🏈 Favorite sports teams: Ohio State Buckeyes

🏹🏋🏼‍♂️ Hobbies/interests: Staying active in the gym, hunting and fishing. And being a new dad!

This week, we’re introducing Kim, office manager here at Lighthouse Family Chiropractic!

Here’s a little more about Kim:

📍 Hometown: Grew up in Vermont and moved to Ohio during high school

🏠 How long at Lighthouse: Since the practice first opened in 2001!

❤️ Favorite part of working at Lighthouse: “Being married to and working for my chiropractor!”

🏈 Favorite sports teams: Ohio State Buckeyes

🍴🪚 Hobbies/interests: Self-proclaimed foodie and woodworking!

We’ve been seeing a lot of new faces lately, and want to take the opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce) our team to everyone.

This week, we’re introducing Dr. Steve, owner and Doctor of Chiropractic at Lighthouse Family Chiropractic!

Here’s a little more about Dr. Steve:

🏠 How long at Lighthouse: serving the Hilliard community for over 25 years!

❤️ Favorite part of working at Lighthouse: “The problem solving and investigation it takes to get to the true root cause of someone’s issues.”

📚 Education: Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic - Davenport, Iowa

🦴 Why did he choose chiropractic?: “My mother had some major back issues when I was growing up, and seeing a chiropractor helped her immensely. This led me to look into the profession, and it was a good fit for the kind of doctor I wanted to be.”

🏈 Favorite sports teams: Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns

⛳️ Hobbies/interests: golf and woodworking

🦴 Now offering Back On Trac spinal traction at Lighthouse Family Chiropractic!

If you're dealing with low back pain, spinal stenosis, disc-related pain with or without symptoms traveling into the leg, we now have another tool we can incorporate into your care when appropriate.

Back On Trac is a non-surgical, FDA-cleared spinal traction system that provides controlled lumbar traction in a comfortable seated position.

And there’s encouraging research behind lumbar traction. A recent randomized controlled trial involving 424 patients with radicular pain from a herniated disc found that adding lumbar traction to medical treatment resulted in significantly more patients achieving meaningful pain improvement compared with medical treatment alone.

At Lighthouse, we believe the best care isn't about relying on one treatment. Depending on your individual needs, traction can be used alongside specific chiropractic adjustments, stretches and exercises to help you get moving and feeling better.
