George Michael's GP visit was apparently a personal betrayal. The dramatic sighs, the legendary stink eye, and the expression that clearly said, "I will be discussing this with my lawyer."

Diagnosis: Healthy. 💚
Mood: Deeply offended. 😤
Forgiveness: Pending... probably forever.

We'd like to thank George Michael for reminding us that courage sometimes looks exactly like glaring at everyone in the room. 😂🐾

Holly the Italian Greyhound had a little too much fun in the yard and came to see us for a laceration. 💙🐾

With that long snoot, a regular cone just wouldn't do-so Holly got the extra-long e-collar to keep those stitches safe while she heals.

Feel better soon, Holly! And maybe save the wild zoomies for after recovery. 😉✨

Sweet Stella stopped by RBVH for an abdominal ultrasound... or was it just to collect cuddles from her favorite technicians? 💕🐾

We're pretty sure it was a little bit of both! Stella made herself right at home, soaking up all the love and attention before (and after!) her ultrasound. Visits like these remind us that caring for our patients means making them feel as comfortable and loved as possible.

We can't wait to see you again, Stella! 🩺❤️

🐱 Meet Mackerel! This sweet little kitten stopped by to see Dr. Golia for his very first kitten vaccines.

He was curious, brave, and earned lots of love during his visit. Starting vaccines early is an important step in helping kittens stay healthy as they grow.

Thanks for visiting us, Mackerel- we can't wait to see you again for your next adventure! 💙🐾

Last week, the RBVH team had a fintastic time celebrating Shark Week and National Hot Dog Day! 🦈🌭

From festive desserts and friendship bracelet making to a hospital-wide scavenger hunt for hidden shark teeth, it was a week full of fun, teamwork, and smiles. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the celebrations so memorable!

🐾💛 Jinx has been through an incredible medical journey- and her recovery continues to inspire us every step of the way.

This brave 1-year-old Cane Corso came under the care of Dr. Erk after developing acute liver failure and immune-mediated complications believed to be secondary to long-term medications used to treat a resistant TPLO infection. Cases like this can carry a very guarded prognosis, making Jinx’s steady improvement especially encouraging.

Jinx was hospitalized for 6 days for intensive supportive care and close monitoring. After carefully discontinuing the suspected medications and monitoring her condition, she continued to make remarkable progress. We are happy to report that Jinx made a full medical recovery- her liver function has returned to normal and her immune-mediated disease has resolved! Most importantly, she’s back at home enjoying a great appetite, good energy, and time with her family. 💪🐶

Jinx may eventually need TPLO hardware removal once she has fully recovered, but for now her orthopedic infection remains quiet and stable. Her care team will continue monitoring her closely as she moves forward in her recovery journey.

We are so proud of Jinx’s strength and so grateful to her dedicated family for everything they’ve done throughout this process. Keep fighting, Jinx- you are doing amazing! ✨

🐾 Welcome, Kian! 🐶💙

Kian stopped by to see Dr. Turner for his very first puppy visit, and he was an absolute superstar! 🌟 From lots of tail wags to plenty of cuddles and of course... cheese 🧀

We're so excited to watch Kian grow and be part of his journey. Welcome to the family, Kian! 🦴🐾

🐱 Glimmer's Story 💙

When 8-year-old Glimmer started eating less over the course of 1-2 months, her family knew something wasn't right.

Glimmer was evaluated by our Internal Medicine doctor, Dr. Erk. Initial testing and an ultrasound suggested inflammation, but one finding stood out—a suspicious shadow in her stomach that remained even after fasting.

To get answers, Dr. Erk recommended an endoscopy. During the procedure, the culprit was discovered: a large hairball filling Glimmer's stomach! Using an endoscopic snare, the hairball was safely removed without the need for surgery.

While Glimmer was under anesthesia, stomach and intestinal biopsies were also collected to help rule out any underlying conditions.

We're so glad we could help Glimmer get one step closer to feeling like herself again. Sometimes, what seems like a simple hairball can become a much bigger problem, and advanced diagnostics can make all the difference. 🐾💙
