I am a published author, experienced multi-generational healer & intuitive, speaker, podcaster, seeker, spiritual teacher, Jikiden Reiki® Shihan (teacher), social justice warrior, and a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault. I help folks who suffer from a history of chronic illness, ca

ncer, trauma, and/or abuse to address root issues, transform pain, bridge science, research and the practical magic so that they can experience sustainable healing and wholeness by rediscovering the body's ability to heal itself and the power that lies within so that they can become their own superhero. Why me:
I am passionate about addressing root issues that plague our society and finding sustainable solutions. This also means in order to do this, we must be willing to face and address hard truths. I provide a welcoming inviting safe space to do your what you know how to best. I am passionate about building a community of women who support each other's growth and business especially on the south shore in this geographic location. I am a thought leader in addressing the intersectionality of various women's and Femme issues. I am a best-selling collaborative author of "Feisty: Dangerously Amazing Women Using Their Voices to Make an Impact"

I am active in social justice issues surrounding issues such as domestic violence, restorative justice, sexual trauma, and litigation abuse in custody cases of victims of abuse and more. I have actively lobbied on at least 5 bills in MA that impact survivors of abuse, access to holistic treatments, regulatory bills, and other bills impacting women especially incarcerated women.

Four years ago today, at 1:22pm, my mother took her last breath.

In the six months before that, we worked on healing generational trauma, hers, the women before her, mine.

We did repair work. That kind of repair only happens once you've done your own inner work, learned your triggers as a GPS instead of a landmine, and can witness someone's story without flinching.

It looked like prayer. Ritual around her body. Hard conversations that got the wound out of the tissue and into the light.

It's the same work I return to every year on pilgrimage in Ireland, remembering what was lost, letting it move through instead of letting it stick inside.

My mother's trauma got exacerbated by a system that has minimized women's pain for centuries.

First it was hysteria.

Before that, it was the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland where her grandmother emmegrated from to USA as an indentured servant.

Before that, the burning times.

She was raised inside decades of medicine built through a white male lens, where women get diagnosed and medicated instead of actually helped. I learned in my own healing that medication was never the answer.

The root was.

You don't need a terminal diagnosis to do this work.

What we've lost is ceremony itself, washing the body, honoring the passage over days not hours. That practice translates to any ending, literal or metaphorical.

Repair doesn't undo the wound. It's a scar, restitched, still functional. That's not nothing. That might be everything.

We're at a threshold right now.

This , and the week after, feels like a tension rod about to release. Your triggers right now aren't the enemy. They're guidance.

Light a candle.
Take a breath.
Ask.

I'll be doing the same today as I honor my mother and the work we are doing together.

Tomorrow I leave for a ceremonial gathering for women where I'll hold space in the Matriarch temple bringing these teachings with me.

1:1 sessions open now.

2027 apprenticeship (6 spots) & next year's Ireland pilgrimage.

Read my new article "Explaining Coercive Control to People Who Don't Quite Get It". https://dremmakatz.substack.com/p/explaining-coercive-control-to-people-cef There are so many common and harmful myths about coercive control that are held by “the public” - by a large number of people in society.

This post puts all the most important information in one place - it’s my hope that readers might be able to show this post to someone in their life who doesn’t quite understand coercive control, and that it might be eye opening for people who previously haven’t read much around this subject but who are willing to learn about it now.

In this post I’ll break down:
- How do we define what coercive control is?
- What are the tactics of coercive controllers? And in what ways can serious abuse happen with little or no physical violence?
- What’s the best way of explaining coercive control perpetrators' motivations?
- What's behind perpetrators’ choice of punishments?
- Does coercive control have a timeline? And if so what are the stages of coercive control?

The post argues that physical violence is just one tree in a whole forest of tactics - this being the kind of scary forest you might find in a horror film.

Survivors are subjugated, prevented from exercising their human rights, and punished repeatedly for wanting to have normal levels of freedom and autonomy.

Perpetrators do not just directly control the victim-survivor; they also spend years manipulating the victims'-survivors' family, friends, neighbors, and community members to make them think that the victim-survivor is troubled, unstable, and generally not to be trusted - often behind the victim’s-survivor’s back.

The perpetrator's ultimate objective is to keep the victim-survivor in a demoralized and terrorized state, bringing her under complete control by forcing her into submission, and will use any means at their disposal to do so.

Finding our voice, standing up for ourselves, and confronting our fears is an essential part of the healing journey. When we are silenced, we lose the power that comes from within. It takes courage to rise above fear, but that courage is where true transformation begins.

In The Secrets to Healing, I explore the importance of reclaiming our power and finding the strength to use our voices. Healing starts when we choose courage over fear. Let’s be bold, brave, and unafraid to speak our truth. 🌿

Federal funding is critical to ensuring survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault can access lifesaving services and support. The FVPSA and OVW funding delays have real and immediate consequences for survivors and the programs they depend on. Tell the DOJ and HHS to immediately publish all the delayed NOFOs and expedite the release of congressionally appropriated FVPSA and OVW funds. Survivors can’t wait.

I've been sitting with something this week. So I write as part of my reason for my own processing and sharing. So this share is not to shame anyone, but because staying quiet about it would make me complicit in the very thing I'm about to name.

I watched a comment happen. A white woman, well known in wellness circles for her "light and love will fix it" energy, commented on a Black woman's post about a police killing. She said she didn't want to watch, that witnessing was "feeding the loosh," that it's "all preplanned and playing out exactly as it should."

I want to name what that is.

It's spiritual bypassing, and it's white comfort dressed up as detachment.

I just posted a new substack that includes tips for folks who look like me aka white folks on actionable steps to show up better.

That goes for me too.

I am a work in progress
