In honor of , we are recognizing our resident, Cynthia who has made a difference in so many lives! She graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University and became a special education teacher, where she found joy in helping her students learn. In turn, she boosted their self confidence and their knowledge! She broke barriers and paved the way for women, as an esteemed trumpet player in a time that women were not able to be taken seriously. When she became first chair in the orchestra, 2 men players quit, refusing to be below a woman. Later in her life, she took a love of history and teaching and became a docent at Washington Crossing State Park, here she was able to connect to visitors around the world and share her knowledge! We are so lucky to have her live with us!

It’s about “blooming” time to get our garden planted! The weather was perfect to get outside this week. We are so grateful to Paige, Eric, and Cheryl for volunteering to help us with this project! Our residents and guests did a great job of filling our planters with flowers, vegetables and herbs! 🌱🌞
