Kāhala Nui is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee our 60-bed Skilled Nursing department at Hiʻolani Care Center.

As DON, you’ll help lead clinical excellence, patient-centered care, staff development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day nursing operations — all while fostering a culture rooted in mālama, compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.

From donating and collecting non-perishable food items to volunteering our time and serving breakfast to the kupuna at KEY Project, our Kahala Nui Ohana came together to give back and spread a little aloha.

A special mahalo to KEY Project and the Hawai‘i Foodbank for helping make this meaningful day possible and to everyone who donated, volunteered, collected food, and joined us on our field trip to serve the kupuna community. Your kindness and generosity made a difference!

This past weekend, Kāhala Nui residents visited our Community Partner Kōkua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services at Ho'oulu 'Aina to get immersed and learn about the services they provide for kūpuna.

During their visit, residents explored KKV's lush campus and learned how to harvest flowers and dry leaves to make herbal tea as part of one of the center's hands-on wellness classes.
